I remember when I joined the fire department in 1976 my chief told me the story of the farmer who called in urgently requesting help with a grass fire that was out of control!
The fire engine arrived with firefighters handing onto the sides and riding the rear step, all of the men whooping and...
:deadhorse:I saw that episode last year sometime, and never saw them actually do anything again with the truck?? The show changed directions about that time and seemed to spend more time "rock crawling and trail riding".
I don't know what ever happened to the old military firetruck they...
My son says he has done this with WD-40, and it works great!
And with WD-40 if it does not all burn up you have a little silcone-based lube inside he tire when you are finished...
I am wondering about the stock tubes also. You used stock 9.00X20 tubes?
When I mount my 395s I was going to use the commercial tubes they use on
cement mixers, as I have noticed the ones in these parts are running the same
tires we are talking about(my son and I just noticed this recently)...
Ditto what Sparky says! I had a similar problem for a while(most of the summer!!!).aua
Don't go crazy like I did. Try two newer batteries that you are sure test good
and see what happens. I ran testers all over the place and could not find my
problem. Tried jumping it without...
My son has been sayaing he would like to experiment with siping some of
the stock 900x20 tires, but we were unsure what size cuts we should be
making?? He is going to use our GMC M207 as his "snow storm driver"
this winter and we already know that the stock tires will slide like crazy
on...
I would like to be "proactive" and buy a replacement battery box before mine completely
rots out. What supply outfits have the plastic ones and any idea how
exspensive they are?
It is great to see someone else nearby with this hobby! I am located one mile north of
Millington at the corner of Ellis Road and Murphy Lake Road, so if you need help with
anything I am not very ar away.[thumbzup] Cell# 989-233-7664
P.S. The 5-Ton Tractor that was parked "For Sale" in...
The 5-Ton Tractor(M818?) is still sitting along M15 about one mile from my house.
Since it has been there a while now, perhaps the owner(uknown) would be a bit
flexible and bring down the asking price?? It is listed on the For Sale sign as
$3900
It is not in bad shape, decent hard-top cab...
:driver:My son and I are in the process of converting a M207(Dump Variation) to Hydraulic Brakes
after replacing the original I6 with a GM V-8(454) and Turbo 400 Transmission. We decided to go
hydrauic brakes instead of having to mount a different air pump. I will let you know how well...
I am going through the same problems. So I have empathy or you....
i took an entire week of from fighting it I was so befuddled by it. I finally found
a nice diagram on another post that shows the wiring, as I thought when I put
the rebuilt starter back in that I somehow got things...
I am pulling my hair out(what hair I have left) with a similar problem!
My M109A3 would not "roll over", so I pulled the starter and had it
rebuilt. Put it back it and EVERYTHING was dead! No electrical
power anywhere but at the batteries?
My son and I fingured we got the wires going to...
Making it to the event looks very doubtfull for me at this point. First my starter died on my M109A3. Got the starter rebuilt and my son and I installed it today. My truck is deader than
dead, no power to the instrument cluster, no "low air" buzzer, nothing! I double-checked all
the...
