OP/Rob, it is hard to help you when you don't respond to questions, or really at all for that matter. I think you have responded only once to this thread (your thread) and it was more defensive than anything else so we weren't able to glean much information from that post. I'll ask you again...

I don't have one but the old Jeep CJ7 console comes to mind. I would incorporate 2 cup holders, make it lockable, double as a padded armrest, and possibly have a CB and or stereo installed in it.

Thanks for the information. Is that 27,000 lbs for the LMTV 4x4 or is that the weight of the MTV? Is the speed for the LMTV or MTV? I saw a youtube video of a LMTV and the speedometer read 80mph and that is why I was curious as to how fast they can actually go.

Lots of good information and opinions here about the FMTV. Can anyone tell me what the top speed on the LMTV (M1078 ) is? Also, what does it weigh? Does anyone have an idea as to when we might start seeing these regularly on GL?
