So I got the dial calipers out The pin on the "new" cable the Army put in (shown in picture #2 above, top) mic's out at 0.150" The pin that fits in the IP as is should (shown below the full "new" cable in pic 2 above) mic's at 0.185"

So while putting new tires and wheels on the M818 this weekend I notice leaking "fluid" on the inside of the hub area I have searched inner axel seal and everyting I find talks more about gear oil coming out, sulfur smell, (familiar with gear oil smell) but this is red axel grease, not gear oil...
