    Transfer cases

Not always true. The Deuce I bought had an air switch under the dash so I Assumed it had an air shift t-case only to find out later that the switch operated a valve on a non-military water tank. They just used the same switch. Best way to verify is to crawl under and look at the front of the...

Question about steering wheels on the M35?

When I was looking a buying an M35, I had a chance to sit in one with a spring seat and one with the solid base. The solid base fit me a lot better as there is more room. You lose the spring cushioning, but I had a local upholstery guy refoam the seat with a multi-layer modern day foam that...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Well about a week ago I snapped a stub axle. Finally had time to tear into it today, what would usually take about an hour to take apart took 4 hours to tear down one side. First you can see the hub cover was pushed out where the stub was pushed into it. Opened the hub up and see the chunks...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Dropped in a new motor. Fired it up tonight and other than a few fuel leaks, she purred like a kitten. A lot quieter and a NO blowby! Finally got tired of being asked if my truck was on fire from the blowby coming out the crankcase vent tube :-P

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Upgraded my rusty battery box to a newer plastic one. Drew a panel up in cad and cut it out of 1/2" UMHW that I had laying around on the CNC router at my shop. Screwed divider blocks from bottom and bolted the panel in the plastic box. Then built a frame to hold everything in place. I already...

    What do you build?

It is a N/A Honda 3.5 with a Mendeola 2d. Our dunes up here in Oregon are not as open as say Glamis or St Anthony's, we have lots of trails with trees so I built a 2 seater that is only 88" wide and a 108" wheelbase...it's a fun little car. My first build from scratch was a 4 seater with a...

    What do you build?

While mine is nothing close to a "Terrible Herbst" build, I have a lot of fun in it. Motorcycle carrier for the back of the Moho. Rifle dueling tree made with AR500 plates.

    Fuel pump fittings

I discovered they are AN (Army-Navy) fittings. I bought a motor and was capping off everything to pressure wash and had stripped the motor down and wanted to cap off where the fuel line connected to the IP and the return line connected to the fuel filters. I have a lot of AN fittings from...

Broke Down in Billings Montana - Need to find a shop that can replace wheel cylinders

Another way is a piece of plywood and some wood dowel or metal tubing... Moved easily and a lot cleaner although you do need a hard surface.

Rear main seal or transmission input shaft?

Mine was doing the exact same thing. Looked like black motor oil and not much smell so I figured it was the rear main. I have been prepping a new motor to put in so didn't worry about it, just kept it clean with brake cleaner. I just changed my tranny fluid to 40wt motor oil and it has not...
