I unpacked everything at home and unfolded the canvas as it needed to dry.
Unfortunately the end curtains had seen the worst of the constant wetness for likely 20+ years, and all metal pieces have a thick coat of heavy, green corrosion. I think I can wipe it all off, but it will be time...
Thanks to Gunzy for finding this for me, I won my first auction from Gov Planet on Wednesday, April 1st, 2020 for an NOS 3-piece canvas cargo cover kit for my deuce! I obviously have a working vinyl cargo cover setup, but I didn't own a canvas one...
Then on Friday March 20th, 2020, I found a big new-to-me rocking/reclining chair to buy, but it was going to rain. So for the first time, the brand-new cargo cover I had bought a while ago from Ziggy-O, got put on the trailer.
It's a good fit except for one thing:
The velcro on the cover...
ON March 17th, 2020 I unwrapped the trailer from its winter storage (the tarp I had been covering it with had wore out anyway and was junk). I filled up the tires to 30 PSI each (they were at 5 and 10 PSI though you couldn't tell it by looking at them).
And then used it to get a new-to-me...
Feedback:
IMO, it would be much better when folks put URLs in a post if the default for the created URL tag "unfurl" would actually be "false" instead of "true". It is much cleaner, and easier to read, just seeing the clickable URL than a big blocky webpage preview in the middle of the text...
Sorry, I don't know who or what you're referring to. :?

Here's a couple of other options I've just found:

Here's another option I've found on Eastern Surplus, $2.50 each at the time of this posting, and they look to have longer threaded shafts.

Is it necessary to repeatedly pop this up?
Yes, I know the purpose of ads, and no I won't be clicking on them anyway. I know the forum is not free and I've paid a good deal over the years to support. So I ask again, is it really necessary to repeatedly display this pop-up, no matter how many...
Reminder! This is happening tomorrow!
I am highly interested in a spare wheel and a tan (or even green) cover for my M116A2 generator trailer. And 1 Goodyear G177 11.00x20 tire.
Hope to see ya locals there ;)
Our Spring 2019 event was very successful! So to follow that, we're having our Fall 2019 Utah Military Vehicle Meetup & Swap Meet to take place at the Ogden, UT Smith & Edwards.

Honestly, I have considered disassembling this trailer and using the frame on my Pioneer Tool Trailer project, and keeping the generators and transfer switch box for home use. But the dang thing is complete and readily usable as is... I'm thinking of just leaving it. Gunzy has recommended that I...
Some of the bad things about the trailer:
As expected, it needs some TLC.
Sadly it's 686 tan CARC over 383 green CARC -hahah, but none of my equipment is tan and I prefer woodland or solid 383 green.
The center wood over the bows needs replacement, it's rotted beyond saving.
I would need to...
Pictured above, the trailer came with a single, rusty, old style screw top jerry can, and below are the contents of the tool box with all the additional fuel hose that was packed around it, plus the CO2 fire extinguisher.
Note: Only seen in the right picture is a slightly bent up tan rod tan...
Yes, yes I have purchased another trailer (purchased on September 5th, 2019).
This trailer was listed locally about 15 miles from my home and I just couldn't say no to it for the price and condition. It is an M116A2 chassis with a Power Plant AN/MJQ-33 body sporting two 3KW MEP-701A...
