Call Jeff Symansky at Tactical Truck in Marshall Virginia. He's on the site. He did mine and I never had any trouble. BDGR

    Humvee beadlock rubber runflat replacement

They make them in batches and with some ireegularity in terms of schedule. I found it was best to call periodically and ask when they might have another production run. They tend to sell out fast, but once I had a sort of phone relationship with the employee on the other end I knew when to hit...

    Humvee beadlock rubber runflat replacement

I had trailworthy fab's beadlocks and Treadwright Guard Dog remanufactured tires on my M998 for three years and have not had any issues at all. I concede I haven't done much off road and don't drive weekly, but I still am pleased overall and cannot find fault with either product. BDGR

    Bimini Jeep Style Top

William Welch of Blue Ox Tops on Facebook has some great products, including bikini tops. In fact, I can't beat his price for a bikini top (and I don't yet have a good design anyway). WW and I have been in contact and have agreed not to compete. He's going to send requests for soft slant back...

I just discovered dustless sandblasting too and am thinking of using it to blast my HMMWV CARC off. BDGR

    First HMMWV

We have many members with various parts if you post a Want to Buy note, and there are sites like SECO and Kascar that are mentioned and used frequently. The SS member 'Country' on here runs Eastern Surplus and has many parts, and vehicles. Outside of those, Black Dog Customs and Midwest Military...

    First HMMWV

Check the regs of the facility, but in my experience they don't allow maintenance, and even if the truck runs many state that it MUST be towed or trailered off the grounds. Your mileage may vary. Congratulations, and welcome to the group! BDGR

HMMWV rear curtain and bed cover prototype

I appreciate you sharing this idea Sjoconnor, and thanks to others who have posted or reached out via message. If you had a double strip of velcro sewn in just like on the rear of the soft top it would be relatively water resistant. We could probably make it work well enough. I could do that...

HMMWV rear curtain and bed cover prototype

Getting there, need to lengthen the bed cover to let the curtain sit more vertically. BDGR

HMMWV rear curtain and bed cover prototype

At most I figure on coming 4” down the side. There is nothing below the row of footmen along the top edge to attach to. I find most folks don’t want to modify their vehicle to use my products, so I stay within the bounds of stock setup. That said, when I begin offering these if you want...

HMMWV rear curtain and bed cover prototype

I have thought about a toolbox set into the side of the fender (wheelhouse) as well. Too many projects ahead of it. BDGR

HMMWV rear curtain and bed cover prototype

Not sure what you mean by the "wheelhouses" CharlieB. Please clarify. I am interested in a design that people want to buy, so your inputs are valuable. BDGR

HMMWV rear curtain and bed cover prototype

I'll keep you posted sjoconnor. Will be a few days or weeks to get the design ready. BDGR

HMMWV rear curtain and bed cover prototype

Hello all! I’m glad to say I’m back at my sewing table. During my hiatus I acquired a few hundred yards of milspec pvc vinyl and am learning how to sew it. Some time ago someone asked me if I could make a flat bed cover but I was stumped by how to join it with the curtain. I’ve since learned...

HMMWV 4-man Soft Top Slant Back

Back to the top! It’s taken a while but I am starting to sew again. I’ve acquired a few hundred yards of genuine milspec vinyl so I can better match OEM parts. Color match is a crap shoot for many reasons, but at least this material is waterproof. I do not have a firm start date for when I will...

new purchase, 1st time owner, tons of questions

Additionally, one of those wires is 24V+ all the time regardless of the status of the ignition. If you cut it you may see sparks. I second the recommendation to remove it carefully. You will find a buyer in due course for that cabling. Welcome to the forum, Bulldogger

    Bimini Jeep Style Top

Someone asked a year or so ago about a bikini top and I gave it some thought. I have never seen a Jeep one, so am kind of flying blind. I'm interested in exploring a 4 man bikini top, if you are Honor First. I'll give a +1 for William Welch. His work looks great, and he is well set up for...

    Repair or replace rear curtain?

I've replaced a few the same way, using double polished marine vinyl. Made them larger, so that one can actually see out the window. Enables a rear view mirror inside too, if you don't have anything else in the way. Still hard to see nearby behind you, because of the height of the tailgate and...
