Ok guys. Thank you very much for your help and advice. After it warmed up a little bit...I fired it up today and it broke loose. Still not sure exactly what the problem was but since the pedal was so stiff I am leaning towards it being the airpack or master cylinder. I have the rebuild kit...
Absolutely agreed. Can't argue that i'm guilty. Sometimes il have a bit of a short attention span. This site has been a big wealth of knowledge for me and I will try to be better at giving it back.
Yeah.....no difference air or no. Pedal is still hard, and truck will not move. I really need to have the parts on hand for an air pack rebuild anyways...so if it is frozen I'm not going to consider the money as wasted.
Not related, Porkysplace. Governor was froze up on the compressor for that issue. Water is a possibility. I can't get it inside becuase all of the wheels are locked up. It's supposed to get above freezing on Saturday. If it thaws and drives...I'll rebuild the airpack at home....if not...I'll...
I live way out in the country. Right now, my chevy S-10 is a no go...being buried in my yard in snow, and the county doesn't like to plow my road reliable, so the only vehicle I have to get back and forth to work is my deuce. I am having a problem with the brakes locking up...it seems to be...
Just take an extension cord and a drop light with an incandescent bulb and leave it on under the hood. Should keep it warm enough not to freeze and crack the block.
Thanks,
Went out to see about thawing it this afternoon. It's actually colder now than it was last night. Found out the Deuce and I have something in common. We both hate cold weather.
Truck wouldn't start. No block heater installed (my first winter with it...THAT won't happen again). I'll...
Yeah. Drain the tanks every time I shut the engine off. I close the valves on the tanks right before startup.....kind of part of my prestart and shutdown routines.
Just drove the truck last weekend and the air pressure was fine. Got off work at 11 pm tonight and when I got home figured I would start up the deuce and let the batteries charge a bit (I like to do this every couple of days when it's below freezing). Truck started fine but would not build up...
yeah....I may pick up a bigger truck...but would be in addition to not instead of the deuce.....the odds of me parting ways with it are not very good. Was looking at the 900 series before I bought the duece, and the 923 I looked at was cheaper....but the looks of the classic Deuce and manual...
Yeah....a sounds like it would be ridiculous. The entire **** truck only weighs 13k. I was just looking at it from a cost perspective. I can get the entire truck alot cheaper than I can get a reman LDT465. DIdn't look up the specs. If I had a 5 ton I would consider it.
