    M-35 Air Starter

I always slept like a baby when we were snorkeling. Our emergency diesel generators at work have air start systems, with 6 tanks, 2' diameter x 8' tall to supply air. As long as the deuce cranks sometimes before starting, I think the limited air supply on board wouldn't allow an air start.

deuce falls on it face on hills

Just did a fuel/oil/air filter change and the deuce drives like a new truck. 52-54 psi in the tires, and running with a piece of cardboard over the radiator (with a 8" circle cut out) because of the weather. Truck runs @ 180 F just like it's supposed to. Not a lot of hills around here, but lots...

    2" removable receivers

Like I said before, I love the way this mount looks, and there's no doubt it's solid. That being said, someone else had pics of their hitch, and it had a 2" receiver tube welded to the back bumper for vertical support. I like having the two vertical supports of this design, and am wondering...

    antique registration

Looking at the Massachusetts DOT website, a DOT inspection is required for all commercial vehicles. Below is what constitutes a commercial vehicle in MA: Registry of Motor Vehicle Regulations for Commercial Motor Vehicle Inspections 540 CMR 4.02: Special Definitions (24) Commercial Motor...

    2" removable receivers

I want one of each! Those are very nice. A civilian hitch is definitely on the must-do list. Nice photos.

    How to get it home?

It's always best to plan for the worst and hope for the best. If you're not sure of the condition of the truck, and have little to no experience driving a vehicle of that size, do yourself a favor and have it trailered to your house. If you add up the cost of driving to the site, any tools you...

    Travel Help MD to NC

Sorry I didn't get your message until 1500, how are you doing? Were you able to find a tire for your trailer? There are several walmarts in the area, and some tire shops in Va Beach.

    vin problem

I would go with it being a 1966, my deuce starts with 0125 but it was advertised on GL as a 1970. Turns out it was a 66, and I applied for my title from GL with that year on it. Previous posters are correct, you need a corrected SF97, I hope you can get one. Enjoy your truck, according to...

SF-97/Title options for a trailer in VA

I've got a question submitted to the Virginia DMV and will post their response here when I get it. I agree that it's crappy to have to pay for paperwork, I believe that that should be covered by GL's 10% buyer's premium. My question to the DMV is is a bill of sale enough paperwork to register...

SF-97/Title options for a trailer in VA

I recently won a M105A2 trailer, and was wondering what paperwork comes with it if I don't request an SF-97 or a title? A bill of sale? GL's rules on titling say if I request an SF-97/title they will charge me accordingly. This makes it sound optional, and I was wondering if it really is.

    Post-Auction-Win-EUC-Procedures

Here's a hint. I submitted my EUC the morning after the auction, about 0500 EST. I got an email at work saying I filled out a block wrong, and saying how to fix it (white out NOT APPLICABLE and check a box). I had saved a copy of the scanned EUC on a flash drive. Open it up using the Paint...

    Smokey Alert in Maitland FL

Without stopping you and asking the question, how can the LEO tell the difference between someone who knows the law and obeys it (as you obviously do) and another person who just doesn't want to do the right thing and register their vehicle? Instead of asking the officer what I did wrong, I...

Soft top question I haven't seen before..

Bruce, I went out and looked and, sure enough, it's the flap you're talking about, hanging down behind the cab loops. So I got a piece of spare PVC pipe I had laying around, painted the ends black, and inserted in the channel and tie-wrapped in on the lip of the cab tub. Took the truck out for a...
