That fuel pump looks like an old 1960's to 1970's Chevrolet. I always like that style.

The problem with welding the gears is the weld itself is not strong enough since you will not get as good a bond as you would with mild steel. Since the gears are an "alloy" the penetration is not that good. I know as I have welded gears before. That's why there are "spools" out there being...
