Welcome from Ohio, Mark, as far as great people in the MV hobby, GA is the second best place in the world to live, (Ohio being first of course). Don’t pay any attention to these guys, they are all goofy, but I would probably trust any of them with anything.

Wow, now I’m scared… the ONE person I would turn to for generator help is complaining about not having power.
Sometime in the next couple of years a fuel cell might be in my future, as well as a solar set up, and a hydro setup…yeah I want to divorce my co-op like crazy.
Double ditto, :ditto::ditto:born in Putnam county, spent my life as a kid in Winfield. Right off of 35 next to the river. Moved to central Ohio for the exact same reason. Still have lots of folks down there. Welcome!
I think my position is known.:-)
Decreased life of the glow plugs.
Decreased service life of the engine.
Less diagnostic capability.
Increased emissions of hydrocarbons.
Increased unburned fuel as white smoke.
High danger of damaging glow plugs if an over-voltage occurs.
Louder, rougher engine...
You ever meet one of those annoying guys that when ever he talks he has to get out a piece of paper and a pencil to describe something? Yeah, that’s me.
If you could measure the resistance across the coils that might give us a clue as well (OHMS across the two smaller terminals).
Drew them just for you... :)
What we are trying to figure out is if your relays will work. The coil part in the previous pic HAS to be 12 volt to work in the system. 24 volt will not work. Do they have a model number or any other identification on them?
Think of this theory as an orifice in a hydro system. A one inch pipe restricted down to an orifice of, say, 1/8th inch in the middle.
If we install a pressure gauge on either side of the orifice, we will see that the pressure on both sides of the orifice will be the same with no water...
