So I won an auction for a trailer on GL and now I am trying to figure out just what the **** it is! It's described as a Silver Mountain made CMT-F Tactical Trailer. It looks like a flatbed version of the M1101/M1102 cargo trailers with a thing on top. I have google searched CMT-F but all that...

Mine was the fist of that batch to leave. That was my first visit there but not my last, nice place and nice people.

Those locks are cheap enough to replace, typically about $5 each with keys in the surplus stores around here, so cutting the hasp and buying another lock is financially viable. I really prefer to get them open and re pin them to an existing key though, I like to re-use whenever possible.

American 5200 locks ARE pickable but it isn't easy, the ones I have done were by accident I am sure. Lots of security pins. Mr Lock (or any other locksmith for that matter) can only make a key from the code, which is the size number of the pins in their order as found inside the tumbler, there...

I was worried about the width of the M1101 but it's only about 6" wider than my F250 on each side and narrower than my mirrors, and has a LOT more floor space than an M101 (and I mean a LOT...) with built in tie down points in the floor. The top attaches in a much more user friendly manner and...

Very nice trailer! Mine always went behind my M1009, but now that it's been totaled I should tow it behind my F250 fir giggles:)

I clamped off the fuel lines before I disconnected them and filled the filter with fuel before I installed it, I got lucky and my truck just fired right up and ran. Your mileage may vary!

It turns out the trailer he was looking at had a short tongue, he needed measurements from the pin to the ground and the pin to the rear. There will be others in the future...

UPDATE: he figured out that the trailer will NOT work, unfortunately:(

A1 I think. He is not worried about the hookups (electrical or air), it's the clearance. He has a specific dimension he is worried about, likely to do with tall tires and a short trailer that was not manufactured with a 1400x20 equipped Military tractor in mind.

He is driving an M915 but the trailer will be used with an M931!

He is 150 miles from home with a borrowed 915, but NOT broken down, sorry. He is worried about clearance on a civvy lowboy he is buying, all I know...

My fuse box is already spoken for and the front end is so smashed up retrieving the harness will be more trouble than it's worth. I found a NOS front harness on eBay a couple of years ago and let me tell you, replacing rather chasing problems is REALLY the way to go!
