Nice truck and accomplishment! Wonder where Mogzila ended up? I know I miss my Swiss 404 I had for a few years.

    FLU419 won't start. need help!

I think the majority of FLU419 owners have chased air leaks in the fuel system. When I got my most recent one it had the same issue. I changed the main filters, the prefilter and would bleed the air out and it would run for a couple minutes and die again, I thought the next most likely culprit...

FLU419 SEE HMMH HME Owners group

Man, that is scary what those little jerks can do even in a short amount of time! Its a big enough challenge to keep these vehicles going as intended without wire eating going on. Good luck on the repairs. Would be interesting to hear from someone who has tried the new harnesses EI has...

    Two new toys unimog 404

Seems like you have some valuable assistant mechanics helping on this cool project!

my flu419 will not move in any gear

Ok Frankenmog, Thanks, I was confused about which problem child you were referring to! Good luck. That SEE is blue for sure! Hard to imagine the thought process behind that paint job! Wish I could be more helpful with your issues. I had the backhoe off of mine as I had recently raised the cab...

    OT-810 starter

Probably have resolved this by now, but when I had my OT 810 the starter did the same thing. I took it to a local automotive electric shop ( Fayetteville, NC) and they fixed /rebuilt it with no problem. It worked great from then on. It must not be too different from common US starters

my flu419 will not move in any gear

Hi Frankenmog I am curious does your MB/94 have the air assisted gear splitter like the SEEs? I thought that was unique to the SEE version. Maybe your air is only for your brakes? I hope you can figure it out and win the bet!

my flu419 will not move in any gear

These are some puzzling issues! As far as F800's problem that seems a lot like when I was using my front end loader too much like a bulldozer as I tore down an old barn. Either I overstressed the system or it was just time, but the clutch slave cylinder blew its seal and I had no clutch. Even...

FLU419 SEE HMMH HME Owners group

Wow, HRBERGERON. You should get the extra effort award for swapping out every hydraulic hose! I have replace the four worst ones on mine and felt like I really did something! Now if I could just get mine back together after tilting the cab to replace slave cylinder. If I was smart I would do my...

New 419 owner here. Couple quick questions

Welcome to the forum! Looks like a real nice 419. I like the solid OD green as opposed to the woodland camo mine has. What are your plans for it? Always a good idea to go through it and change all the oils, fluids etc.

Moving a flu 419 trans locked up ?

Well welcome to the forum from another NC guy. Sorry to hear of this trouble. I have never heard of this problem before! Going down the road minding your own business and the rear end locks up! Lot of bad possibilities there. Glad you are OK. Wonder if there was some previous damage inflicted by...

    My 404

Congratulations on your new to you 404! It looks like a very decent example. I had a great experience owning my Swiss 404 here in NC. I loved mine so much I infected my brother in law and he found a nice one and we enjoyed many fun outings together. Here is a pic of us on the uwharrie trails...

FLU419 front loader hydraulic pump issues.

When I had my first SEE approx 5 years ago I drove it around quite a bit in in different configurations. When I had the front end loader off and backhoe installed it obviously lightened up the front end, but I didn't notice any issues that affected drivability, it was just a bit less ponderous...

FLU419 SEE HMMH HME Owners group

The Continental MPT81s I showed above came from colonytire.com they have a mil surplus division in VA. They were very good to work with and shipping was fast and fairly reasonable. I believe they also had the Pirellis mentioned above by peakbagger. It may be there ebay store, I am not sure.

FLU419 SEE HMMH HME Owners group

I recently put Continental MPT 81s on my SEE. They are equivalent to the 14.5 size so bigger than the 12.5 Michelins and there is a little rub on the fenders at max turns, but so much better in terms of ride stability and a bit lower rpms for any given speed. They seem much more suitable to the...

FLU419 SEE HMMH HME Owners group

Far from an expert on this topic, but I am in the midst of a slave cylinder replacement on my SEE. It seems to me if you unbolted the slave cylinder during your recent work that you likely did not reset the proper gap between the slave cylinder piston and the clutch lever. There is an adjustment...

FLU419 SEE HMMH HME Owners group

Welcome to the forum. I am sure the SEE would be a great addition to your farm. I can't add too much from the good advice above. If the SEE you are interested in has been thoroughly gone over and maintained by its current owner you might be okay to attempt to drive it long distance if you can...

FLU419 SEE HMMH HME Owners group

Got the cab tilted on my SEE, not tilted to the max, but enough to get to the transmission/clutch area. Was quite a production, but the brackets from EI work great. The only snag I ran into was not putting spacers on the rear cab mount points. I spent a frustrating hour or so trying to get the...

FLU419 SEE HMMH HME Owners group

That's great info on the throttle ball clips. I can see how easy they might launch off into space! Will be checking to make sure they are all installed when I get my cab lifted.

    North Carolina

The SEE tractor would be great at handling those tasks for sure. Would love to assist, but transport to VA would be the problem. Back when I was restoring and reenacting with my OT810 halftrack I had a nice Chev 5500 and trailer to move it around with. Unfortunately, they are no longer in my...
