NHC250 sitting over 20years...how to go about starting?

If you had some sort of pump you could open the oil gallery and hook in your pump and psi the system up with fresh oil. That would get oil to all the parts that need it. You can bar the engine over while the pump has the psi up. I wouldn't run the pump to long of a time though. You can do the...

Red Dot A/C Install - Which Condenser type?

I am not an expert but for my 2 cents. The on highway vehicles are going to have more air going across the condenser because of speeds of the vehicles down the highway and these military and off road need the aux fans to move the air across the condenser because they are slower for what ever...

M923 Ft. Riley to Florida Keys

That looks like a fun ride!! If you can I would grease the u-joints at least before you head out. I also would check the fluid level in the transmission I have found that they are over full on the couple I have picked up. GOOD LUCK

Weather Strip Rips out When Installing Door Glas

I had a hard time on my M931 getting it in as well. I have yet to do the other side but the way i was able to get one in was with a ribbon feeler blade ( used for adjusting valve rockers) and smaller screw drivers. Kinda work the window down while working the weather strip over the window...

    NHC 250 No start-fuel problem

You might take the sensor out that is in the front left side of the pump and make sure there is fuel in the pump. If not use some clean fuel and pour in there till full. When i would change a fuel pump on one like these I would fill it with clean fuel for easier starting. On most of the...

    Oil leaking at exhaust manifold?

It sounds like what they call wet stacking it is cause by not fully burning the fuel from the injectors. The knock could also be the tip washed out of the injector where it is wet stacking if running the over head does not take care of the knock. If no problems with the parts and your engine...

    IronPlanet is a joke!

I have an M931 insured through State Farm Here in Kansas they ran it as commercial INS no problem. There was a little trouble with the VIN but if I remember they ran it as a serial number instead of a VIN . It may take a bit of time dealing with your local Gov but it can be done.
