2014 MVPA National Convention- Louisville, KY

Will I need to show my MVPA membership card to get in on Friday you think. I just joined and do not have a card yet. Been looking on the website to see if they have something to print out, but no luck yet. Also checked to see if you can still pre-register. Looks like it ended on May 30th.

2014 MVPA National Convention- Louisville, KY

Don't scare me there. I too assumed it is open to the public? Okay. Edit. KEC website says it is closed to the public Thursday 26th and Friday 27th. Open 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday 29th for the public. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I like that side profile. Kinda like the slant back HMMWV.

    Air Pack question.

Thanks. I'll drop him a PM.

    Air Pack question.

Progress update: The machine shop I took the air pack to has been backlogged with work from local factories (guess I am low priority). I decided to go pick it up today and put it together myself. I think I might be screwed though. After inspecting the cylinder they honed, I am afraid it is...

Thought about that. If I can find a good used one locally. Edit. Looks like HF has one for $260 if I can't do better.

2014 MVPA National - Louisville, KY BUY/SELL/TRADE thread

Anyone have one of the military tire dollies for a reasonable price. What's the odds it would fit in the trunk of a car? I live just off I65 in Franklin, KY. A SS member in Florida had one for $175 a while back, but shipping would have been a killer. Getting ready to start pulling wheels, trying...

Replacement glove box seal/gasket. Any suggestions?

Looks like it could be weatherproof, but in my case, it doesn't fully close at the top. Not sure if the dash is bent or the latch isn't quite right.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Installed my license plate frame kit from http://www.thosemilitaryguys.com/ today. It was well worth the cost to me with the included hardware. All I had to do was make a couple connections and hook in between the 21 connector on my right tail light. It is blocking my hitch somewhat, but I don't...

My Deuce Resto by another newbie.

Still undecided on the outside color. I had thoughts of going back to the original OD with the star, but that would mean repainting the interior. I may just do 383 Green and leave it for a while. I have some surface rust and paint flaking on the bed. Also a little damage on the left rear below...

    New guy from Ky

I have not painted the inside of the doors yet. Still unsure how I want to finish them. I can make out an old style label through the CARC and I'm thinking of going with the older label instead of the newer ones. It looks something like this: The current state of my doors: I have a new...

My Deuce Resto by another newbie.

Purchased 2 new windshields from C&C Surplus. The left glass wasn't bad except for the seals. The right frame was pretty rusty. The main frame for the windshields was in great shape. No rust. So Just sanded and painted the jams. Original glass on left, new one on the right.

My Deuce Resto by another newbie.

More pics of the finished product. I still have do some touch up on the smaller pieces. The data plates were sourced from a few places. I think the bulk came from TNJ Murry and Dataplates.net. I tried to match my original plates the best I could. The only one I did not replace was the...

My Deuce Resto by another newbie.

Here is a quick teaser while I locate the rest of my pictures. May just have to retake a bunch. I am not 100% happy with the paint job, as I had originally wanted show quality, but after I started sanding, I realized I would have to live with a few things. Surfaces were pretty rough in there and...
