I want to know how you get them off base. Not being able to drive them at all seem extreme. How do you load them? That would take a serious winch. The hydrolics don't work without starting it. I know I have seen rules posted but picking up had different rules. Just curious how it works. I guess...
In the TM's it does not give bolt sizes. My truck is not with me and I need to replace the bold that hold the engine and transmission together. Does anyone know what size bolts are used? I also need to replace an engine mount bolt if someone knows that.
When I click on tech manuals in the sticky it just opens a new window and the main page. I am not sure what is going on or if it is just this computer I am on.
I am trying to remove the starter which is already a pain plus mine is covered in a thick oil so I can't feel around very good. If I...
I will check the fuel pump first because it is easy. I have a hmmwv engine to put in but want to make sure I don't blow that one. I drive my truck almost every day so I need it to run.
Ok now I am enjoying the a/c even though it is a cool 96 degrees outside.
I had a minor mechanical problem the other day with some knocking under the hood and a smoke screen that would make James Bond look lame. When I drained the oil it was liquid. It smelled like diesel too.
So the question...
It is pushing 100 degrees out here and I only have MT phone so sorry guys that say search.
I can't figure out how to unclip the wire from the sensor passenger side next to the firewall under the head. U must not be holding my tongue right or the blood sweat and oil mixture is making my hand...
I need a puppy picked up near Springfield Ohio and brought down to me even within a few hours of Houston. I was going to go up there but if someone is coming this way let me know.
I got it on. I will skip all the things I tried. But I was thinking about how I could spread it with the u-joint in so I would know How wide to go. I the caliper was so close I could not even read a number difference. So I got a pair of channel locks. Put the lower jaw that sticks out a little...
Yes I checked the needle bearings. That was the first thing I thought was wrong. I tried heating the yoke and putting the cap on ice. But when there is no clip on either cap either one of them can slide in. I did notice one of the caps standing off and found two needle bearings had fallen but...
Thanks to every one I figured It out. I did some messing around and finally I unclipped the side I had clipped. The yoke slipped back and forth so I could clip either side but not both. So now I have to figure out what a drift is or grind one side. But grinding may make it unbalanced. Thanks for...
I am using a big C clamp. But it is so tight the joint is not moving so I is not the opening. It is the clip to clip measurement. So it is either the U-joint is too long or the rubber needs to compress.
it is so close I have to put the clip up to see if it will fit. A thinner clip would fit. I left the clamp on to see if it would move slowly. It is that close to fitting. I wonder if it is the rubber bushing thing?
Last time I learned to use a butane torch to heat it up until the teflon or whatever squirts out. But now I have to replace the U joint by the trans. I got the old one out fine but now I can't get the new one in. I have part number 534G. But when I get it on the drive shaft it is real tight and...
I want a second tank that has a pump to fill the tractor. Like the ones you see in the back of pick ups. But I would also like to use it on trips or for alternative fuels. But SVO and bio diesel have higher gel points. So I just want to keep them separate. I can get a tank made to go over the...
