I just fixed my horn and it was a PITA. I ended up replacing everthing for the horn except the horn and solenoid. I put everything together and NOTHING. Then i took a break thinking about it. I finally figured out that the new diode i put in was bad as well. So i got a new diode and all is well...
Anyone have an electrical diagram of the m939 series trucks? I was unable to find one in the tm's or on the internet.I think that would help alot of my electrical questions related to the truck.
If you want to sell the other unit i would be very interested. I live in nm and at least its dry heat compared to the humid heat like you guys in fl have.
Thats a pretty cool set up you did there i was planning on doing it this weekend but it looks like you did all the hard work for me.:doghead: I was only planning on doing one but now i think i will do 2 as you did.
Ok that helps i also tried putting the voltage meter with the positive on the wire right where it plugs into the valve and the negative on the body of the truck (ground). I got nothing from either wire so that probably tells me that the positive power isn't getting to the horn but the negative...
Also if you like the loud diesel engine sound get the 250 cummins i love the sound of that 855. They are pretty much bulletproof and just driving it around it sure seems to have quite a bit of power. I haven't put a very big load on it but when off roading it has plently of power even if you...
Ok like i said before i hate electrical wiring. So today i was going to try to get the air horn functioning properly but i failed. So i first started by seeing if the air valve worked so i hooked up a 12v battery to it and it clicked like its supposed to. Next i checked to see if i have air to...
I was thinking of doing the exact same thing but i thought it would require to much material to make it support 20,000 lbs while keeping it under the original top or behind it w/o looking wierd. If you can figure it out where it looks stock please tell me.
I just took my truck to the local goodyear dealership. The o-rings were like 5 bucks. Comparing the price to your guys prices i think i got a smoking hot deal! Plus another 25 bucks for each tire to be mounted and sealed up. All together about 180 bucks for all 6 tires. Lets just say i was happy!
My truck has what looks to be shrapnel holes on the left side of the hood. Almost look like bullet holes! They are a little rusty and they had someof that silicone stuff on it as well. I still need to repair them but i guess its just a cheap fix for the military. Dont know why they "repaired"...
I have a usmc truck and it has detroit lockers in the rear 2 axles. They are engaged 100 percent of the time. When you go around a sharp corner on dirt you will see the inside tires spin and slip. If you truck does this you most likely have lockers. When driving on high traction surfaces...
The other day i tried draining water from the water fuel separator and nothing came out of either drain just air sucking. So i closed the valves and tried priming the system because i thought there was air in it. Tried pumping the handle and nothing happened. So i tried to start it and it...
Not but 2 minutes ago i finished fixing this exact same problem on my truck. First get the wire that plugs into the sending unit and ground it. Look at the guage and if it says full then most likely it is the sending unit. Check the ground on the sending unit and clean that. To make sure the...
Most likely the diaphragm is bad. You can rebuild it but i would seriously advise you not to. That spring can kill. I had the same problem but i found a guy parting out a truck locally and got one off of him. I then just bolted it on and it works great. The guy is willing to ship and buying a...
