What did you do to your deuce this week?

Insane amount of time, you ask. I spent an insane amount of time getting a stuck & stripped male pipe plug at the rear of the block out a few weeks ago.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

My radiator is at the radiator hospital right now with the same problem. They said it might need a complete rebuild of the lower tank on the future. Hopefully their solder job holds.

    Concerned over oil pressure

The petcock will drain your coolant from the block. I was also having some concerns regarding my pressure, but I just discovered that I have 120 p.s.i. sender with a 60 p.s.i. gauge. Thanks for the pictures.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Hooked up the coolant filter. Then used an "easy-out" (which wasn't all that easy) to remove that evil, evil, evil male pipe plug in the rear of the block for the circulating tank block heater. Special thanks to Darrell from Bridgewater (Johnson Controls) and Scott from American Axle for the...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Torn off front end, removed radiator, removed belts (original from 1988 & cracked), removed all hoses including water manifold hoses (all original from 1988 & starting to break down), scrapped old gaskets, and scrapped scrapped the old gaskets. Stopped enjoyed the view of the wife sun bathing...

    Midwinter Winterization

I am having the exact same problem. I was getting some leaking from some of the other hose connections when the temperature went below zero degrees Fahrenheit. So I figured it was similar, glad that you tore it apart first. And thanks for the pictures.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Last week I shoveled off 15 inches of snow in 13° below 0°F to discover a little green snow below the motor. Traced the leaking to the hoses. So I tightened them all up. Seems good so far. (Not sure why that pic is sideways..it should not be.)

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Myself and the boy took it to "the depot" and loaded up a bunch of 2x4s for a back yard skating rink for him and his sister. We should be playing hockey in a few days.

Cold weather radiator and battery issues

I have just discovered a small amount of coolant on one of the same bolts but not really any dripping onto the driveway below. However, I tested anyway; the concentration looked good. I installed a block heater into the water pump and if I had to do it again I'd get the circulation tank type...

    2013 VIN INFO Thread

Carnac, Would you please work your magic on the information that I have for my M35A2 (without a winch)? The data plate on the dash board was removed at some point before I took ownership. I got the V.I.N. from the frame and it matches the V.I.N. the government put on the paperwork. The...

    Main switch?

I just replaced my switch. It would only bring power if the switch was half-way between off and on. If it is your switch, then shop around--I got mine for about $50 shipped. It took less than 30 minutes to replace. Good luck.

    Your Advice Please

I bought an m35a2 from GSAauctions.gov back in the spring of 2013. Before I placed a bid on it, I did something that the yard manager said was almost unprecedented: I came out to the storage yard and inspected it (as it was not too far from home--about 90 miles). I knew before I placed a bid...

M35 block heaters- who was selling them?

Being from Michigan, I am a big fan of block-heaters during these cold winters. Therefore this was a must do for me. I ordered the Kat's 600-watt model#11619 from Amazon for about $33 shipped to my door. I found that the the unit would not fit in my water-pump. So I followed Westfolk's...
