Well, I just heard from a rep at C.E. Niehoff. He said my two regulators are interchangable!! So I will give it a try this afternoon and hopefully that will fix my problem.
Well, how did the recovery go? No problems I hope. We are still having some issues with the M1113 we got. I think the voltage regulator is draining our front battery. I may have a new one if I can exchange the one from one of our others. It has a 100 amp generator and the M1113 has a 200...
They look the same just a different part number. The only thing on the M1113 that is not on the others is the hydralic winch. Could I swap out generators? Will the pulleys swap out?
Dang it, I just took it back to the office. I can tell you it was the front, single wire held in place with a 1/2 inch nut. I can look at it tomorrow and give you the number. As far as amps or milliamps it registered on the multimeter when I had it on the 20M setting and the 200M setting...
Okay, I used the multimeter and put it between the front battery and the cable. -12.68 is my reading. I disconnected the wire on the front of my voltage regulator. Reading is 0.00. So is this my draw? Can I buy those as a seperate piece? I sure hope I have found this.
Is a current meter a multimeter? I am an accountant so I can do a tax return for the darn thing. :) Could I replace the voltage regulator if it is drawing a current? Are they expensive?
Buddy, I lucked into my rebuilt engines because these are owned by the local health dept. and we can purchase federal surplus. They had 4 engines and I bought two of them. I think the other two will be coming up for public auction soon.
