    Found something I need

Is that in the states? Hate to be a buzzkill but if the Gov still owns it, there will be no joy. Don't work a back door deal either, that will eventually land you in some very deep doody.

New CCKW at the Ropkey Museum

:ditto: Behold.... the "Do as I say, not as I do" Farby CCKW. This pic may be a year or two old. If he has the seeds, maybe the Farb will post up a more current one. I'm sure it's condition has improved.:? "If you live in a glass house, don't throw stones."

    G506 identification help, G7143 ?

That's a toughy. Found a modeling site that listed it as a USAAF vehicle and I tried to translate the French. Familiar words like "lighting" and "turret" came up. With it being in AF service, this may have been an AAF machine gun turret training vehicle or a portable light truck early on. I...

    Military Fire Trucks

Load showed up about 7. Pushed it off with the Bobcat. Driver steered while the Dodge pulled it up the driveway. Had to stop traffic.......... Great driver, he stopped along the way and removed one of the mirrors. Seems it wasn't used to going 75 MPH backwards. I think I found the data plates...

    Military Fire Trucks

No expert here, just learning as I go along. The REO Type F1 tractor was model 29XS. HDX Hercules 196" wheelbase with an overall length of 23 feet 7 inches. Aside from the Corbitt and Mack/Kenworth, the only other REO truck info I have regards the CARDOX 29FF REO

Some updates. Rumor has it the Mack will be loaded and heading North later this week. I asked that the water cannons be guarded with rabid dogs and razor wire..... 300 lbs each and mostly brass. That would be liike losing the cherry to your sundae. Truck was received from surplus around 1969...

    Mack HT2 ?

Pretty sure that's a Mack T-19, unclear why it's labeled T-2. Found one of the same photos in a reference book listed T-19. These photos are at Aberdeen Proving Grounds. These were Mack 3/4 track proto-types. Two pilots were built. Rear engined Continental R6572, 215 HP @ 3000 RPM, non driven...

    Thinking of buying a halftrack

All you do is regurgitate info off the web as if you are some sort of authority. Then you start arguments over petty items. That's what got you yanked off the G. Go back to your closet...tm9-801.com • Index page ...and talk to yourself.

    Military Fire Trucks

Mike, I'm waiting on delivery. Just bought it a couple weeks ago. Here's some bad pics of it as purchased. Been sitting outside about a year and a half. Hard to believe it's the same truck as the pic in my first post. Thankfully no real rust, just faded and oxidized. Got this one just in...
