    Fuel Filter

I would ask those more familiar to correct me if I'm wrong--However since you are replacing the fuel filter assembly why not return the origional style and replace it with a spin on type. A quick search will come up with several threads on how to do it.

Use a power washer to clear the Lic plate-head and tail lights-glass and to knock off clay chunks from wheels to keep death wobble away. Gently hand wash the CARC paint with a mild detergent and a soft cloth to keep from scratching sensitive paint.rofl

Mirrors removed from windshields in M1009s...

Rember how old these things are. That glue has been there a long time. It's not unusual at all for them to come off. That's why it is so easy to find a repair kit.

    Why the fuss?

I love my m1008. It has no lift, trimmed fenders with 33's, the exaust is loud cause the drivers side pipe needs replacing, the passenger side cab corner is bondo and needs replacing and the heater sucks, but.... When I drive it to the city no one tries to cut me off-or push me around. Even...

How deep can I safely drill into the ceiling without punching through the roof?

Dont have an answer--however I do have an idea. Try taking a very small bit and tape it up with several layers. This way only the depth of bit you want to use would be exposed. In theroy the heavy taping would help keep you from punching through hard and denting the top. Using a small bit first...

    Flat head jeep engine

My dad knows I love my M1008 and asked me what I knew of Jeeps. I told him absolutly nothing, but I know where to find some one who does! SO here I am. Anyway-He picked up an old irrigation pump and said that it has a flathead Jeep engine in it. I have not had the time to go down and look it...
