    Started the bobb job

bobbed rear bed spacing TJP, If 6" spacing is what you want then 6"x2"x .125-.188" wall structural tubing (ASTM A500 grade "A") should be fine. Personally I would match the spacing of the original bed but I've never bobbed a deuce (yet) so others opinions are likely more valid than mine...

One Piece Cast Aluminum Rims for Deuce

Ridgerunner, are those 16.00R20 XZLs? A 10" wheel is what Michelin calls for with that tire. Even with the correct bead profile 12" wheels wouldn't hold the tire properly, especially at lower off-road tire pressures.

    M35A3 tire changing to 395/85/20 part 1

You guys need to check out Tyre Pliers (no, that is NOT a misspelling). They are made in Australia. Nobody brings the big ones into the US AFAIK. They are definitely much easier than a big tire iron alone. Expensive -- $425 including shipping -- but they make a big difference. Tyrepliers...

    wiper motor trouble

I was just looking at various wiper solutions and noticed that the A3 wiper blades are 14" instead of 12" length. There are a couple of marine pantograph wiper motors that should fit but I haven't finished my research project. One that looks like a good prospect is from Speich. I'm trying to...

    5.9 Cummins, NV4500, Hydro-boost, and Disc Brakes

I want to second Mendo's comments regarding the price of well engineered after-market components. I'm a mechanical design engineer and components I designed 30+ years ago are still on the market unchanged. I have NOT done a major rebuild/refit of a deuce, yet. I love doing my own R&D and...
