Cbear that is correct. The Texas plant is being closed. All the MRAP's there became instant surplus and will be destroyed if not taken by LE. Everything is brand new except the hull, which are in great shape. They are powered by band new Caterpillar C9's also.

The agency I work for has 4 of them. We also acquired 3 trailers. They have come in handy during storms and flooding. Also hauling things to the range. Guys were skeptical at first, but we are getting a lot of use from them. Our mechanics flipped out at first, but have come around a bit. So far...
I was the exact opposite....mine quit working and it took me a few months to figure out the problem to get it working again. It drove me nuts that it didn't work :)
I bought an A3 as my first MV. I had one leaky CTIS at the left rear wheel. Took about 5 minutes to fix. Everything else has been good so far and I have had it for about 18 months. If you do get one, make sure to service the hubs/bearings and inspect everything. The wheel bearings are crazy...
I just had to replace mine. NAPA had the best deal on them in my area due to the 3 year warranty and $40 core return credit. Mine literally were fine one day and then dead the next.
If you can find one that is in private hands that has been gone through, it might save you some time and money in the long run vs. buying from GL. If the seller is reputable and has knowledge of these trucks, chances are that anything that was wrong with it will have been fixed, or at least you...
