    A little fun today

I think it is only rated @ 35k, so probably not the winch chain. He has (at least last I looked) a couple 5 ton wreckers with rear winches on his lot. Roger said he had no idea what they were originally for.

    Radiator leaking again!

When I said labor and material I meant the core+labor to install core......not just the cost of the core. As you know, yankin' the radiator out of the deuce is a cakewalk...we had ours out beau coupe times last summer in our injection pump/water pump/head gasket repairs.

what if any additives in fuel

I use either Stanadyne (best) or PowerService (not my favorite) whenever temps take a big drop and every now and then. I have had a couple tanks of fuel wax up on me in my Superduty and Stanadyne worked miracles on it.....the 7.3 doesn't return heated fuel to the tank (like the deuce does) so I...

    Radiator leaking again!

If the $375 recore is parts and labor.....I'd jump on it. That's a sweet deal.

    Parade winners?

BajaPower and I took the deuce to a car show this summer ( I called first and asked if MV's were welcome and they said "sure"). One of the prize classes was "Trucks"......when the judging began we thought we had a pretty good shot at a trophy as the ONLY other truck was a just off the lot brand...

    Parade winners?

BajaPower is being modest (for once :) )...his truck beat out a LOT of floats and entries for the prize. It is true, we didn't give the deuce a bath or black the tires for the occasion.....hadn't even really planned on going till the last minute. I wore a Santa hat. I drove, and he tossed candy...

    '88 Deuce Undercoating Question

Our 1970 Kaiser has "rustproofing" in the doors and such.....seems to have worked on ours too, no apreciable rust in the treated areas.

    Tranmission problem

The offer is always open, Stretch....have deuce (and tools) will travel (another stolen line) :|
  18. bomar76

How much to repair this deuce?

No way in hell would I even consider buying any vehicle that I knew up front had the bejeesus beat out of it...and this one sure shows it $4K overpriced in my book, a parts truck and nothing else.

    Axle Vents

BTW..."rust never sleeps" was stolen from a Rustoleum ad campaign.....but Neil Young stole it too.
