I got to haul a purple thing to the G749 farm today. A buddy is in the moving process and didn't have a place for his thing. I wanted to be sure it looked like she was strapped down.............
.............because you wouldn't want your wheel chock coming off a trailer. We needed a good...
We'll get back to those days when the trucks got more attention than an albino Moose. Meanwhile, I have the grease chart for the M135 and it's got more nipples than a shrewish short tailed opossum. Getting everything greased up, finding zerts that don't take grease, fixing that, getting all...
Well fellas, it happened again. We have another deuce going home, this time to a Veteran.
Thanks to RL from the heart of Canada we found a little history on a few of the trucks. The M211 worked at the Penhold bunker for most of its life. I waited until a fella came along that would keep the...
Someone better get that truck in a barn or we'll tray to sneak across the border, play "let's make a deal Monty", haul it north and turn it into an M216 CDN. That truck is blue rare up here. Ideally, finding any markings could reveal a past that absolutely needs to have a future . That could be...
I started looking at frames closer after finding a leaning wheel on an M135. We lay underneath and pull a tape measure corner to corner, across the frame, down the length, we look down the rails, make sure the suspension mounts haven't been hit. One never really knows where things have been...
I'm just the gardener so I won't give mechanical advice. As the gardener I've seen the Detroit, Cummins and most recently the Duramax wedged above the Early Deuce pumpkin. The biggest challenge has been the upper link for the front dif that gets in the way of everything. The second challenge is...
I gotta see this thing. Back around 86' the old boss asked if I'd take a grader on a 30 mile road trip to a job-site. The memory is vague but it had a pup motor that we'd start first. Once the pup was running you'd pull up a lever and the pup motor would engage the Cat motor. I took that road...
Let's take your truck on the left.....it's got more gas in it then the other one. Cool website over at Delta so if they're going to be fast and reasonable to deal with, they should get a plug. http://www.deltateamdecals.com/ I'm going a little nuts wanting pictures of it going back together so...
It'd be nice to see the data plate or frame stamp (behind passenger front wheel on frame) and know how early it was made. The X's were, in my extrapolation of data, early trucks off the line. If it's a 001 or even in the first 10 it'd have more historical value....to someone....someday....or...
I get to drive a brand new Cat and International MV. We do a little scaping so it's always easy when the big, new toys are doing the job. We farm with a 1950 Ferguson tractor so I'd jump on a FLU for a week to give it a try.

Production rates for the FLU must be in a spec somewhere. The attached chart might give you some ideas but ........no good deed goes unpunished.....using small equipment on a big job.......weather...
About 4 years ago a friend drove from Alberta to Alphaheaven in his Frightliner to pick up parts for an M135. He still talks about Tom's place, the music and the royal treatment they got. I sure hope Tom knows just how much we appreciate him hanging on to the G749 world for us.
We found our...
Hey you're a new LARC er here. Welcome aboard! Someone's gotta have the biggest rig in the fleet!
It was a long shot but I googled "larc v parts for sale" and found a cool link. Not sure if you can buy parts here but someone might know someone who can. It's a cool site if a fella is just a...
How bout' a picture and the specs. The little lady read rack setting and she say's it's 36" 25" 36". .......I said it's 0.135 to match my Deuce...... I was right about that and Tampa Bay Lightning winning tonight so....hey twice today :D If I'm taking chances I'd say Tampa wins the Cup......what...
Jellybean's in good company holdin' all her pieces including the seat. There will be a day when those who want to smell the P-4 can do it. Not sure how or when but someone's going to dump a load of cash on this truck and I'll manage the project until it drips water from the cannons. Ideally we...
It's appreciated. We'd talk every week and solve the world's problems. Missed daily by many and the loss is one of a kind. It was a chance meeting at an airshow and I was so lucky to know him.
We had a chance to visit the memories with a few troops and mvpa seniors at the G749 farm. The...
It's kinda funny when ya think a 45 gallon drum is 11 gallons short of fillin' that tank.
Are you going to drive that museum piece in the mud or build a back up truck we can get dirty? Once this is done you'll be bored. :D
Oh Lord won't cha buy me a Mercedes Benz. Welcome aboard. You must know John from the Wak. You're in good company over there with the Western Command boys running green iron. http://westerncommand.com/
The Mog is beautiful and the scenery shots with the Mog.....wow.....nice country over there.
We lost a good guy last week. Flying Tiger has passed away. He got a lot out of support from the 5 ton guys and the local MVPA club. He'd expect me to let you know. Can we paste a big American flag at half-mast on his monikor??? or something like that...
