Take a tool bag with you. Go over the vehicle, put on the belts take a good test drive in it and if it seems ok drive it. Just dont beat it and it should be ok.
The extra grease between the bearing will stay where you put it. It wont hurt anything but it wont do much. The bearings need to be completely greased and thats really about it. I usually put a little extra in for peace of mind but then i am a lottle OCD.
I would not live in a personal property tax state. I think that should be against the law. Its the 1 thing that Ohio is doing right. You should only pay tax on something you buy when you buy it.

I'm glad torquing them down more worked for you. I've never had any issues with the ones I sell and I have been going out of my mind wondering why they were leaking on yours. I even replaced the front wheel cylinders on my deuce with the new ones to see if something was wrong with them But they...
You wont have any issues. You need to become very friendly with the search button. There are several threads on buying your first deuce. Also the manuals for the trucks are here and you should go over them pretty thoroughly...
