An Aside for Ahab
Correct for the 741B Indian Ahab. Many of these bikes (And Harley's) were used by the NZ Army Dispatch Riders during WWII.
The US left many bikes, Jeeps, trucks etc behind when they departed after VJ Day. Normally there would have been a charge or Lend-Lease arrangement but...
I usually vote for any CUCV but this month I say Vote for "bigmike" and his beautiful bike. Grateful thanks for restoring a Kiwi Indian (and in memory of Bert Munro). :)
Delivery
My new card (plus spare) arrived at home here today. I want to thank AntennaClimber for his care in packaging the cards for the long journey. The box was undamaged and the bubble-wrap/plastic bags/tape etc. were fantastic to see upon opening. :D
One interesting point I noticed was...
Totally agree. Answers to all your questions are on the 430 forum.
At the museum we just broke two torsion bars on our 432.
Your track and pads look to have plenty of life left. Always good to drive with someone in the Commanders Hatch and a working intercom, as visibility for drivers is poor...
Thanks
Thanks to both Warthog (For the Heads-Up) and AntennaClimber especially, for his patience in dealing with my year-long quest to acquire a GP Card.
Due to the US-only shipping (Still not sure why that policy exists with many US sellers?) I found I could enlist the services of a Post...
Good luck Rusty. I enjoy all your posts and respect your experience. That's a pretty sophisticated little trailer there even before your modifications. Nice work!

Nice job on the lining also.
The position of the tailwheel suggests the model was reversed onto the catalogue page. Also, they really need better proof-readers - I doubt the Spitfire ever "acted as an interpretor" Interceptor maybe...
Incidently, last Tuesday was Battle of Britain Day and a large group of Spits and...
Kiwi Greetings
Welcome from Down Under in NZ.
I used to visit the Bluebell Railway regularly. My mothers late cousin and her husband were founding members, donated land and support so when I was staying with her at Xmas we got free tickets for the "Santa Special" excursion, Sheffield Park to...
In the "Regional Chapters" section there is a sub-section for "Regions Outside the US" which has a thread covering Oz.

Just on special occasions for me. Parades, displays, club outings etc (New Zealand Military Vehicle Club).
I just helped organise this event: http://www.easterrally.co.nz at Easter.
Hi. Apparently the pink colour is a highly effective camoflage in desert/sand environments. The British SAS used cut-down Land-Rovers as patrol vehicles, known as "Pink Panthers' due to them being painted... Pink.
Thanks for your service.
Thankyou all.
High praise indeed! :D
I help maintain and drive this truck for my friend. (He has a Daimler Dingo scout car to convoy with).
Canadian Military Pattern (CMP) C8A built by Chevrolet in Canada for British Commonwealth armies. Very popular with NZ & Australian forces as well as the...
