    Bleeding the Master Cyc

Made my MC cap work as a pressure bleeder cap with a few things from Homeless Depot/Lowes. Use the numbers on the packages for you fellas like me who need the extra help. Other than the 4 fittings some 3/8ths clear hose and a 2 gal sprayer is all that is used. Plus some brake fluid. Duh...:roll...

    Brake help!!!

Us firefighter/EMS types have a phrase for idiots who knowingly do foolish things: "Job Security" Taking out the 9v in your smoke detector is all on you baby. That endangers your family and the poor shlubs like me who have to come and try to save you-yours and extinguish the home when it...

If you had $1000... Prioritizing upgrades and repairs.

Switch all your fluids over to synth. I also added a coolant filter (overkill? I get heat in about 5min now as opposed to 15). U joints and front bearings is always a good idea. Driveshafts are fairly cheap... just get a couple with zerks. Azone's die quickly.

If you had $1000... Prioritizing upgrades and repairs.

Ive always felt the optimas were alot of money for a battery that does the same job a wallyworld one would do. Azone too. Azones yellow tops are guarenteed for awhile so Id buy a couple of those and stay friendly with the staff. If one goes bad they will recognize you as the nice army truck guy...

I wonder why they pulled all the m35a2s

Went to car wreck up on I65 near 80/94. Trucks are coming out of Chicago and going south. New ones painted desert tan. Must have saw 4 of them flatbedded in 20min. 4x4s too, not 6x6s and I didnt recognize them other than I saw a show or a pic on here in the past week. Cant remember what they...

    M35A2 Brake Trouble.

When you pump the pedal with the lid off the master cyc, as you let off the pedal and JUST start to push on the pedal again, sometimes the master cyc "burps" and it will shoot a little bit of fluid up and out of the cap hole. I'm not saying its a jet but it has shot up and onto my floorboard. It...

    6.2L Diesel vibration / HELP!

Worn out motor mount? I noticed my truck rocking hard. Replaced the power steering pump and the torqued bracket that it was on. Put some big washers on the mounting nuts/bolts and it sure did seem to deaden the rocking. I might look up a new balancer next year. Mine seems ok for now. Front...

What the heck is going on now?

Check the fuel return line. Its on top of the IP, a horse shoe or J shaped hose. Remove it and clean the return line check valve, 9/16ths deep socket and a can of brake cleaner with a red straw. Do a search on return lines in CUCV section. Id bet yours is clogged.

Belt whine... how do I tighten them?

If you feed the strap thru the top of the bracket from the top I think you get better leverage. Snug the strap up to the bracket. At the far end hanging out the engine bay on the side of the fender, tie a loop that you can step in and just put your foot in and step down. Tighten accordingly...

Belt whine... how do I tighten them?

The driver side alt belt and the power steering belt have to be almost the same tension or theres gonna be a squeek. You can get power steering belt tight using a rachet strap fed through the space between the bracket and the side of the power steering pump. Feed it through, make a knot with a...

    3 push start

Typical Air/fuel line that can be had at any truck stop with a service center. They will have the fittings as well. Take them in and show the counter guy so he can match the size. Clear fuel line LOOKS like what I believe is the same as ice maker water line. <- Should confirm this as the...

    Bleeding the Master Cyc

So after weeks of rain... I finally got to really delve into the bleeding preocess and I will tell you my findings. Im realizing no 2 deuce break systems are the same. My friend Mike (has several trucks and jeeps) assisted me and said theres no way for me to bleed the MC, theres no bleeder...

    Bleeding the Master Cyc

Keith Does the protective cap on top of the master cyclinder pull off somehow? It has to come off for me to hook up an air line to the the vent. I'd really like to not jack that cap up if I don't have to. I went to the store to get the garden sprayer/power bleeder parts but these guys didn't...

    Bleeding the Master Cyc

Holy crap... The air pack?? Yeah I closed the bleeder screw when she was pushing down. I still got some bubbles upon opening it up though. I went through what I thought was the correct tm proceedures but I'm realizing its not the case. I saw a zerk on the air pack but not a bleed screw, cougar...
