I love wiki! There is no cucv specific page, but it is mentioned under the k5 blazer page. However, it deserves it's own page. The only problem is that I can never figure out how to use the citations and such, and so I don't know how to make a page. If you know how, then go ahead and do it...

Those trucks sure are great IRWFO, but they may be a little too costly for some of us :D . However, if you can afford it then that is the place to go to. They seem like they take good care of their trucks before they sell them.
you're gonna have to special order that alt, I just did it, and the guys at NAPA had no idea what they were doing. Tell them that it's a military vehicle. I think the alt is listed under the Wilson product line.
ya we need that, I have one laying around the house, but I didn't think it would work too well on the diesel, so it's just been sitting there for almost a year now, but it sure would help to have it on these cold chicago mornings.
I'm not sure, but I think that the two spots that you suggested for dome lights were used for that purpose in the civilian models of our blazers. I'm not even sure if there is wiring in your door, because the gov might have decided to leave that out as a cost saver.
One final note... If you need an alternator, it has to be ordered from syracuse, NY. So, if you think yours is going bad, test it or get one ordered soon! It was also about twice the price of the one that was listed for the 84 blazer, because it is an industrial alternator, made by the same...
Okay, well i went out last night, there was only one alternator. After I started it up and checked the voltage I was only getting 8 to 10 volts across the batteries. The new alternator comes today and hopefully it will be back on the road tonight. Thanks for all the help
