    NASA Missile Hauler...

The one I saw at SECO was circa 1975 not longer after the end of Apollo. The probably cut them loose as soon as they could once there were no more Saturns to haul around. I saw lots of Saturn launches and they were spectacular.

    NASA Missile Hauler...

Hi Jeff, Beyel Bros. sold their M123 to a guy here on Steel Soldiers. I think he sold it on to someone up north. There is a thread about it on the 5 ton and up page iirc. He got it to run. It was very rusty, had been sitting outside a long time. I wish my Dad had taken some pics of the SECO...

    NASA Missile Hauler...

Hi Jeff, About 1974 or so I was at SECO in Augusta with my Dad and there was one of those in their yard, painted white with the NASA meatball logo on the side. I thought it was an M26 from memory but it might have been an M26A1. Great find. Clint

    Very early m101

I have an M101, serial number 1673 made in 1951. It must have been stored inside a long time as it is really cherry with civil defense markings, white iwth blue trim and the original od under the peeling white paint. Anyone know if they started with serial number 1? Mine was made by Linn Coach...

MY TURN.. 42 white M2.. Start project

Here is another crane job, this one converted from an M15. This is the second halftrack i ever laid eyes on when I was a kid, it is still owned by the same guy. It can be bought but the frame has cracks. Last time i spoke with him he wanted 2500.0 0for it but that was 8 years ago. It ran then...

MY TURN.. 42 white M2.. Start project

Somebody asked for a crane picture. This was an M4 with a stretched frame. If anyone knows the Villages in Florida that field in the background is it now. I've seen at least a dozen cranes that were converted from M4's. I have a theory that one of the companies that did these conversions bought...

    M3 Halftrack Restoration

The front wheels can tend to plow like that in soft sand or mud. The track brake feature for turning that you describe was used on German halftracks in WW2 but not American halftracks. Nice job on your resto David!

    Saw two halftracks

Photo #1 shows a White M3A1 with the welded together pulpit armor instead of the bolted together. How about that Captain!
