I see the sticky threads on here about censoring certain topics, so if the site is still uncomfortable with this discussion. But, please hold your fire for one second. I am posting this to say something that needs to be known, and maybe (or not) adress it. Hopefiully we can continue this...
Interesting. I just bud 7500 on a 1025a2 from godove, it said reserve not met, so i went about my business. Two days later i check my email and they said i was the high bidder and met the reserve. I called and gave **** to the lady about changing the reserve in the middle of the auction, she...
I bought a couple different units for my shop, and didnt think about it being 3 phase. Now realizing it and not having 3 phase capabilities in my shop, I am wondering if there is a way to convert them to 220 supply. Any ideas? I have nordic air hdt60k and 18k environmental control units, and...
Yes, the moune bracket for the 200a alternator is different. I made a new one. It had to stick out from the block another 1\2 inch or something to clear. And yes, it is a different pull, and i cant tell you how hard it was for me to locate one!
Its not done, not sure what you mean. I have not bought the connector to fix the problem yet. You want to see the conclusion, you are going to have to wait until I have figured things out. Can't predict the future brother.
I drove it home today and it drove perfect all the way home. I'm thinking it was that broken connector for the internal wire harness that was causing the problem with the temp sensor. Maybe them messing with it gave it a better connection. I found a place online that sells the replacement...
They said no Guarentee it would fix the problem, but they were "pretty sure" that was the problem. I know I should suck it up and pay them, but I just don't have the cash. Probably just going to have to wait until I do.
Update, I talked to the shop today, and they did find the connector they needed to connect. Apparently they were looking in the wrong place. They drove it with it plugged in and saw the temp sensor spiking and dropping off. Also the outside connector on the internal harness is supposedly broken...
So, I have a 98 m1088 with the wtec iii transmission. When I first got it, it would shift into drive and reverse, but going down the road wouldnt shift out of 3rd gear. The manual shifter sometimes wouldn't respond either. Then it started to shift normally, but the problem was still intermitten...
I am trying to help a friend fix his m917 dump. the transmission will not shift into reverse. He said he was pretty sure it was not shifting into some forward gears also. It is a 16 speed caterpillar transmission. part number 5R3855, serial number 72S3680.anyone familiar with this?
My m1088 had to have pretty high rpms to shift also, but it improved when I did the fluid swap to tranny fluid (Napa synthetic dex III). I have an intermittent problem with mine that seems worse now. When I am doing lot work with it, in short forward and reverse trips, it wont shift into reverse...
OK. I kinda feel like an idiot. My hazard switch is missing. I didn't notice because private Pyle was kind enough to replace it with a plastic dummy plate. sooooo, anybody have an extra hazard switch they would like to part with? LOL! hope that solves the turn signal problem. Now all that is...
I located the black plastic box, and it looks like a terminal junction box like you would find on a commercial trailer. I hooked my volt meter to all the posts, and none of them had any voltage. Two of them had a wire connecting the terminals with what looks like a resistor. I also took the turn...
So, here is an update. The alternator voltage has calmed down on its own, and I still have no turn signals after replacing the flash controller. I have just now finally found the wire schematics for the entire truck though. It is in TM 9-2320-366-10-1. All the way at the end. I will update again...
So, tested the terminals with the volt meter. ignition off, 12 volt terminal shows 12.4. 24 volt terminal shows 24.5. The E terminal had only 9 volts, and ended up having a break in the terminal lug. Replaced the wire, and over tightened the bolt. the stud twisted a little inside the red...
