Mud half way up the wheels. Aren't these supposed to be full time 4WD? Rear wheels spin, front ones....no. Truck is in NL, front wheels not moving. BTW, what kind of company do you call to get you unstuck from a mud bog?

Yeah, I am not a big fan of the Walmart's either, but they do work. The truck is an "around towner" so getting stuck isn't really the issue. The Walmart's only last a couple of years. Was looking to se if there were less maintenance ones without breaking the bank. The X2's look interesting.

Looking for replacement batteries for my M998. It currently has the Walmart Maxx 34 series installed. Trying to avoid the 6TL's I see that Deka has an interesting deep cycle marine battery at 800 CCAs. It is about 1.5 inches taller and 2.25 wider. Or should I just stay with the Walmarts?

Is there an adjustment on the stop light switch? Having to push really hard in order for the brake lights to come on.

Ok, so decided to try again. This time mashed the gas pedal before starting. Started it up and went right into reverse. Drove it around. Trans shifted nice, no problem at all. Made it kickdown, multiple times, no problem. Maybe something to do with the kickdown?

It is a 1993/1994 M998 with a 3L80 trans that will not shift into any gear. It used to sometimes take a minute after start up to shift, now it does not go into any gear at all. Almost felt like it had to build up pressure or vacuum when first started. Fluid is a pretty pink, no leaks...

Is there supposed to be a grease fitting on the rear lowers? Found the uppers, but not lowers.

Any specific year engine? I see that they go from 1984-1994?

I don't see anything listed in the TM for the parts on the top end. Is this engine the same as any civvy engines?

they say the starters are the same for the 6.2/6.5 in the HMMWV's. Where can you buy the shims? Are they the same as any civvy shims?

starter is having an engaging problem and the engine will not turn over. Mechanic says he is having trouble finding starter shims (truck is a 1993/1994). Where can I go to find starter shims? Is there any civvy shims that will work?

Can you test the TDM fan control with an ohm meter?
