Going taller and wider with the same wheel will likely cause you to rub while turning. All tires baloon out on the side more. Height will not likely be your issue. Width likely will.
Ive used everything from slightly watered down dish soap to murphies tire soap. I think it doesnt matter much on bolt together wheels myself.
Guys that use hummer wheels for wheeling will often use a sawzall to cut the run flat rib out of the runflat and reinstall. You still get the dual...
If the o ring isnt too deformed youll be ok. If it is then you either need a new one or spend some time filling voids with rtv.
What I want to know is why would you hire some one to do a bolt together wheel? You likely have all the tools you need to DYI. A split rim sure but bolt together.
If you get rid of the run flat you will be able to balance your tire better the cost is the duel bead lock. That does not matter so long as your not offroading or drop the airpressure down low. 16.5 wheels do not do well with offroad low airpressure but wont mind full airpressure.
A spray bottle with hot very soapy water will tell you where any leaks are.
I have used a tube patch for small punctures in the sidewall from stuff like thorns and such on my wheeler. A tire dealer wont do it for you because of liability, but if your running the run flats I think the liability...
I think you did yourself a diservice by filling the tank before looking at the filters. The first step in diagnosing a diesel problem is lookat/ replace the fuel filter. The spin on conversion spares in the truck and a tank rinsing are in order. Depending on how much smag is in the tank you may...
Your wheels are 16" rime 7.5" wide.
You may be able to use old 19.5 or 17.5 motorhome wheels to go tubeless. Use the measuring gude from crawlpedia to check. Also measure the center hole/bore. Most common tire sizes for the old motorhome stuff was 8x19.5 & 7-17.5
There are 2 kinds of piolets steel and aluminum alum are longer. Just so I have the sequence right. Stud, piolet, lugnut in that order off the hub.
I have used alum piolets on my forlift to add make shift duelly tires in the front using an extra nut and plate to get my spacing right.
If you replaced the inner stud so that you could run the spacer then later change your mind you could just get your hands on some aluminium outers. They are longer to accomidate the thicker material and should cover the inner stud fine.
here is what he decided to go with. 1400r20 bridge crane wheels on the outside and some 10"wide shallow dish for the inside. Even with a hub flip there wouldnt be enough room to use bridge crane wheels on the inside. The inside ones have a little more offset that most front wheels. There...
Hemmit rims have a thicker center and are of a heavier gauge. 1600 xzl are rated for 15k and 1400 are 10k lbs. They are the same rim width so mounting would be fine but if your gona work them hard you may want the more skookum wheel.
The reason why many combat/bolt together wheels fail when running a tub comes from the fact that the hole in the wheel and stem of the tire dont line up very well. It normally causes a small tear next to the stem on the tube lowering the air pressure as you run them. Spinning tires, lower air...
I would immagine nearly anyone with a plasma table could burn you out a set up in AK. The only hard part may be finding some one with a 90deg champher to put a taper on the plate.
