Ft.hood mechanic here. Most of the lmtv trailers brakes will not release because the multifunction valve leaks. These are all reserve trailers that never get used though. I can post a NSN for it later if you want.

You would probably have to run a cable clutch as there isnt much room for a master cylinder. It would be pretty cool to see it though. I wish you luck.

Are the valves adjustable? If the clearance is too tight especially on the exhaust valve it will hang open. Not a generator expert but a former engine machinist. 👍🏼
