    Free yellow reflective sign material

Haven't you ever heard the saying " if you remember the 70's, you weren't there"?

    Free yellow reflective sign material

Iron Butterfly did "Inna-Godda-da-vida" ( or however it was spelled). I only remember one weekend during the 70's.

    Ham radio tower trailer!

I saw that. I have been looking for the smaller one, mounted on an M762 trailer. It has a 40-something foot tall antenna. I would LOVE to have the bigger one, tho.

anyone in Idaho that can help me out?

Alex is a good friend of mine, ( best man in one of my numerous weddings). I am there at least once a week, dinking around with him. I only live down the interstate about 20 miles, which ain't nuthin in these parts. That being said, I am kinda biased. Call him and talk to him. He will give you...

In search of an oddball trailer.

Close, but no cigar. The one shown is the light tower, not the crank-up tower. 10 or 12 feet as opposed to 40-some. Thanks anyway.

In search of an oddball trailer.

I am in want of either the M762 version or the bigger 3/4 ton version (I don't know the "M" series number for the 3/4 ton version) trailer that has the crank-up antenna mounted on its bed. Usually the antenna is about 40 feet tall when raised, and pivots flat to travel when cranked down. I have...

    Exhaust stack plug

I use the aluminum serving cans found inside a mermite for my 5ton. I also use them for the intake and exhaust for my MUTT for storage. (It has a fording kit)

    M37 Correct Radio

More than likely, a PR25 or PR 77 on top of an AM2060 adapter, on top of an MT1029 mount, with an MX6707 "tuneable" antenna base bolted on a fender somewhere ( I am not sure of the exact location of the antenna). Or maybe an RT246 or RT524 bolted on top of an MT1029 mount. Need cable...

    Why no crew cabs?

Kinda ironic, I see old ( 1960's) 4 door "crew-cab" pickups all the time--usually painted Air Force blue, but I have also seen OD ones. There is an old International 4 -door pickup parked just down the street from me, blue with Air Force emblems on the door. Years ago they must have liked the idea.

Pointers on drill bit sharpening, pls

As a 26 year veteran in a machine shop, sharpening bits, cutters, drills, etc became second nature. As far as technique....find another old machunist and have him show you. Describing it over a keyboard would be impossible. The actual type of sharpening device depends on a few things. If...

    New animal in the yard.

Are those the newer M113 or M114 tracks converted over to fit the old weasel? A guy has one here in Boise, and I don't remember which track he has.

What radio was in the Fast attack vehicles?

I was going to (and hopefully still will some day) build or restore a Chenowyth FAV. I comprised a huge amount of info, including what limited TM's, etc there were (are). The VAST majority were painted flat black. The only standard for FAV's were no two were the same. So, within certain...

    What solvent to clean tires?

Brake fluid works great...let it soak. And somebody get that kid a cheesburger!

    Ever Seen a crew cab M35 on 16.00 20's and a B cummins??

Nice photos....but what truck? The shop is what has me interested.

    Mermite can question

That would be an M762. The exact same chassis as an M416, only it is rated at 1/2 ton. I have a couple of them. I know a mermite will keep soda cold ALL day, in the Idaho heat on the 4th of July, while straped on the opposing rear fender as my radios on my M151A2. I put ice and a 12 pack of...

    Finished painting my cab Sunday

Looks great! Based on the color of the soot in the second picture, the particular shine of the replacement plate, and the appearance of the weld itself, and having welded for too many years, I would darn-near bet that the replacement steel was galvanized coated. I don't want to sound like a...

    The Beast emerges

Pardon me, but I know where there is a bed for that, should you need one. It's at Idaho Motor Pool, in Fruitland Idaho. Alex says he might have a few parts laying around for it, too. If you already have one, disregard this attempt to help out.

    two cables needed.

Might anyone have two CX-10613 cables,(in working condition), both about 4 or 5 feet long? I need two to complete my cable-absorbing project (my comm-model Gama Goat). With all due respect, for considerably less than an arm and a leg, and you don't want my first-born. These have the three...
