    No alarms on the panel? Unplug the governor actuator so it will stay running. Check the voltage on the top of the inverter. Does it go out there?

    That is very interesting. I would have thought that a head bolt would have been a finer thread pitch than that.

    Looks like the nut is a M8. You should be able to find those at your local hardware store. Get both a fine (1mm) and coarse (1.2mm) pitch. I've not seen anywhere that info has been listed. If I was going to bet I would bet on it being a 1mm pitch. Get a higher than standard grade.

    I should have asked how it tripped.. Was it the overload or the GFI? You have to reset the overload manually via the little button on the top. Dampness won't have as much affect on over current. Only on GFI trips. Those reset on the front buttons.

    Is the generator grounded? Make sure its not damp. They don't like that at all.

    Just snug the lug down on your VOM leads in there so you don't have to hold them then flip the switch.
