Old girl gets some new kicks (395 XZL's)

I do not haul anything and this truck seldom gets driven, so not really. It will be bobbed, well not really, crew cab and 1 axle removed by summer. At that time I will flip the hubs and look into a 10" wide wheel.

    Deuce front spring mod help

I don't see any reason you could not have a local spring shop make you an additional leaf. I just didn't want anyone getting hurt with the block thing.

    Deuce front spring mod help

I don't have any input on the subject other than to say, please do not put a block on a front axle. The loads a steering axle puts on the ubolts and springs are far higher than on a rearend. Infact it is illegal to use a block in a frontend in many states.

Also he walked it around, kicking with his right foot while standing on the finished section with his left foot. He was a small guy too, 5' maybe 125# and only used his weight and kicking to get it on.

I didn't get into much snow yet other than parking areas, however other than if you have to change one on the side of the road (hernia waiting to happen), I think these are better in everyway than the ndt tires. Oh yeah they look cool too.

Old girl gets some new kicks (395 XZL's)

I had an old tire guy do it for me. We made a platform 21.5" in diameter out of plywood with 2X6's for legs. This made the tire colapse some under its own weight. Then he lubed the ring up good with tire lube, he said dish detergent works well also.

I am Wondering... Noob questions inside

He started with a standard M35A2 and added 4' of frame, as someone mentioned starting with a M36 would be easier as it is already 4' longer. Also with the 53" tires he had to rework the rear suspension to change the distance between the rear axles. All of this can be done, but as I have come to...

Help with some measurements (Rifle Mount)

Thank goodness, I can afford a 6 pack of diet Pepsi. I was worried that I was going to have to spend truck money on other toys.;-)

Help with some measurements (Rifle Mount)

Impact has many for High 6's to low 9's. They have come down quite a bit within the last few months. Hopefully none of this gun talk gets me in trouble, well except with the wife.
