I have not been able to figure this one out. In my M1009, when I turn on the right turn signal, the fuel gauge starts dropping with each click. Once I shut it off, it slowly climbs back to the level where it started. Doesn't matter if the lights are on or off, and it doesn't do it when I turn...

I was looking at the M101 trailers in the upcoming Ft. Campbell auction. Looks like they have a bunch, but if I am reading it correctly, they are selling them in lots of 2. Is that normal?
I was at the museum on Saturday 2/27/10. The sign says 85% of the museum related material will be moved out beginning in Sept 2010. Ft. Knox is not closing. They are actually expanding the number of soldiers. There are numerous LARGE construction projects going on within the base. The armor...
A friend of mine lives near Lexington, KY. He said he was out near Avon, KY (Bluegrass Army Depot area). He told me that there is a field off Ware Road where there are hundreds of military trucks, trailers, Humvees, etc all lined up. I looked on the GL site and I didn't see any upcoming...
Fuel gauge bounce
My fuel gauge works fine, until I turn on the turn signal. With each click, it drops 1/16 of a tank. Once the turn in complete, it slowly goes back up to where it belongs. I think it must be a ground issue. Where is the fuel gauge grounded?
I would say it depends on who it might have belonged to. If you found a soldiers wedding band, for example, I say return it. If it was some piece of govt. equipment, its yours to keep.
Anybody ever add an extra 'jumpseat' in the back of an M1009? I have 4 kids and a wife. We can't all fit. I am looking for suggestions. I remember the station wagons of my childhood sometimes had rear facing seats. Your thoughts, ideas, and pictures would be appreciated.
I am looking for a spare tire for my M1009. What civilian trucks rims will fit? I know they are 15 x 8 , 6 lug wheels, but the junk yards around here seem to have a hard time crossing it to a more "modern" truck. What advice do you all have?
Thanks!
I bought a M1009 in St. Louis, drove it home via Paducah, all the way across Western KY to Oldham county. Cops wave at MV's. Just keep your receipt and insurance card with you. I took it to the DMV in Pewee Valley this morning. The ladies there are EXTREMELY nice when they are not busy. They...
dash lights
Nope, wasn't the fuse. That was the first thing I checked. It's been so dang cold, I haven't been able to spend much time looking at it. Fuel gauge not working yet either, BUT, after reading some of the other problems people have, I feel pretty lucky.
