Hey all,
has anyone heard of this kit being offered by Oshkosh Equipment Sales, LLC?
Here is an ebay listing link:
Utility 60Hz to Precise 60Hz Generator Conversion Kit - eBay (item 380272082366 end time Oct-23-10 06:25:35 PDT)
It appears they are selling everything you need to convert a...
Update:
Generator is working flawlessly at the de-construction site. Running various electric motors, lighting, transformers, etc. I scored a 30kW heater and a 10kW heater (480V) so I use those as load banks periodically if the load is not enough to make the generator work a little hard.

I have a couple questions regarding a new-to-me MEP006.
1) I see the voltage selection card on the left side of the set, however I am not sure how you are supposed to 'move' this...does it slide? Do I remove all the nuts and then bolt it all back on at the next point up? I see the arrows, but...
My auction was cut loose finally at 7/28/2010
Summary:
Submission of EUC 4/26/2010
EUC Sent to Battle Creek: 4/27/2010 (I beat their door down after some initial delays)
EUC Approved: 7/28/2010
Customer Notified: 7/28/2010
It took time, but it was worth it :-)
Good news...unit was in-tact and untouched! Even still had the little bakelite/plastic wrench in there for tightening down the AC output lugs.
I did a quick inspection before signing for it...and 4 hours later had it running and generating power.
Ft. Lewis DRMO was looking pretty clean.
Hey all,
I was just wondering, for my MEP-006A that is taking its sweet time with paperwork processing at Battle Creek, should I expect my personally inspected complete unit to be now missing parts?
I have read that at some bases units that stick around for awhile start turning into parts...
Event 5132 (my first EUC) is still at Battle Creek...Since 4/28/2010. :-(
I was hoping it wasn't going to take months to get my EUC cleared, but it's taking its time. Just waiting to get my hands on my MEP006A :-P
Hope nobody has stolen parts off of it at Ft. Lewis!!
These quick turn-arounds on EUC's would seem to indicate that as of the past week GL is flipping them fairly quickly to Battle Creek and not letting them sit on 'the pile'.
Hum. 8)
I'm waiting on 5132 as well, although it appears that they submitted my EUC today (had an issue with illegible date 2010 needing revision on the paperwork?) so we'll see how long it takes. I was working with Daniel and he apologized and mentioned it has been swamped. Talked with a...
