anyone tell me which screws do what on the gasser carbs? I noticed one on each side of my 52 REO OA331.

yeah what they mean is more torque and yes the sprags work as well. anybody else with more experience than i please chime in!!!!!

41cl8, that's about how Gringletaube explained it to me, with only 1 minor difference, you rolled back while the transmission was in a forward gear with foot on the clutch you got sprag windup. in that case you had problems. The way it was explained was the problem was not so much just rolling...

Im curious, would there be any place to find them sprags around anymore?

ok i found it all, thanks for the pics and the responses. Mine says M27028 which is the same number on the data plate as the Mfg SN.

ok you guys are awesome, thanks a million for the pics, now i know at least where to look. is it possible that this truck WONT have a vin? i've heard some WWII vehicles have no vins, just curious if first that is true, and second if it could be that way for a 52 gasser?

I checked the frame in front of the tire, and behind the tire, inside the frame and outside the frame, no such luck. could it be painted over or is it a very a distinguishable stamping?

I looked for it on my 52 gasser and i couldnt find a thing. any chance anyone might have a pic of the location to make sure im looking in the right spot? Vertical face of the frame rail, between front axle and fender, that's pretty ambiguous. in front, back, sides etc? I have seen nothing on mine.

Oh wow thanks man. I have been trying to figure out what i was going to do for manuals. I have been VERY hesitant on buying any m35 cd's because they all said multifuel and i figured they'd be inapplicable to my particular truck. of which, I only paid $400.00 bucks for and drove it 163 miles...

I did not see that particular manual on JATONKAS site, my truck is the 1952 M35 Gasser with the REO 331 in it. the data plate says it needs or rather "I NEED" the TM9-819 manual.

Perhaps I miss spoke, I need info on the air compressor systems for the 52 gasser. anyone know which manual those are covered in? my truck that i just got home last night has a operator manual of TM9-819..would it be in there? and then i'd need know where to get the manual.

Where can you get that special wrench. and on my 52 REO the compressor pulley feels like its Rusted up pretty solid. anyone have any luck breaking them free??
