I know in my area on-road and off-road are not actually the same just one is died, our stations carry normal, on-road, undied, Ultra low sulfur, while the Off-road is died, low sulfur. And trucks after 2007 do not exactly care for simply low sulfur fuel.
Deep cycle batteries are not designed for starting uses anyway, something about the way the plates are designed versus a normal (the kind you put in your 2002 pickup truck or whatever) lead acid battery.
I can't tell you whether or not the trailer can handle it, but if you have an actual hitch on the suburban, not just a bumper hitch I wouldn't even worry about it. At most I would check the tire pressure, don't try to to 90 up a mountain side, and after all the ol' diesel will like the workout.
