    M211 crew cab crusade

So this is going off track of the original post for the quadra deuce, but this rig was purchased for the project and decided not to tear it apart and keep it somewhat original. Anyway in just over a month will be entering it in the holiday light parade for the salon my wife works at. In...

    M211 crew cab crusade

Saw these on EBay and thought it was pretty cool. Instead of painting on the stars, going with vinyl cut outs, I think this would look pretty sweet with the snow camo.

The teeth are something I thought would look cool on the green, but since I'm going with snow camo im not sure.....................thoughts?

    M211 crew cab crusade

Managed to get the 54' pressure washed, the bed cleaned out this evening (no pics of it as I was wet). Going to be entering it in our holiday light parade in just over a month, using it for the salon my wife works at. Both my wife and her friend who own the salon think I'm...

    M211 crew cab crusade

So I came across these pics of a 52' that had been modified. Probably something we are going to be doing at some point to gain a little more fender clearance. With adding larger tires we are looking at, I want the fender to wheel gap to stay the same or slightly increase, which leaves only...

    M211 crew cab crusade

Here is another clip already uploaded. It has a hard time wanting to stay running. The previous owner got it with a cracked exhaust manifold and tried to fix it, but in the process had the intake off and now has an air leak. https://www.facebook.com/tony.carter.7/videos/10153822309931264/

    M211 crew cab crusade

So after getting the complete one home, actually driving it and seeing the look on my boys faces, I can't bring myself to tearing it apart. So I am going to have to deal with the fallout from this decision, but I am wanting to keep this one complete and eventually restore it to stock. #2 has...

Not sure if this will work, but here is a video I put together from yesterday's adventure. https://www.facebook.com/tony.carter.7/videos/10153822965341264/

    M211 crew cab crusade

Looks like #3 a 1954 M211 is getting picked up on Wednesday. This one runs, drives and has an Oregon title. So #2, aka Sumner or the green one will more than likely be going up for sale sometime in the near future. As cool as it would be to have the custom truck as well as a stock one, my...

Donor engine, well one of three engines that will become one. This one is out of an 88 so it has the serp belt drive. Only 128K on it. Needs to be cleaned, but will go through it and eventually install it in the 83 chev to get some drive time on it until we are ready to install it in the truck.

The quest for air brakes on an M211

I know folks have said it can't be done, but my father inlaw and I are heading down that road with our project quadra deuce. He is a former dump truck driver and machinist and I'm just the muscle behind this operation. We recently picked up our first M211 parts truck, picking up a complete...

My father inlaw started tearing in to the rear brake to it size up for air brakes. The last pic kinda gives away what we are shooting to install if everything goes as planned.

Not yet, the first one did not have an engine or trans. The one we are picking up next week is complete.

Well, we picked it up as a parts truck, next week picking up a second with a title and have a line on a third truck minus the axels. If we can get the one with out the axels we will probably be selling #2.

Here is #2 that we will be picking up. As a firefighter it kinda pains me to think about tearing this apart. My department used to have one very similar, it would be cool if this was the one, but if it is, I'll be looking for a third one as I don't think I would be able to tear it apart...

sweet Deuceman, I will keep that in mind when we start tearing into it.

    New to the M211 family

My father inlaw is heading North today to go look at a complete one, so should probably have #2 in the next week or two. One plan we have, even though it has been said it can't be done is fitting it with air brakes. Have all the tooling to get the job done, just need to see what it takes to...
