Ran a 21amp load on it this afternoon. Had some white smoke in the begning but cleared up after about 10min of running. Could be that it just needed to be ran. I have only put 30hrs on it in 2 years.

Just google "rust removal useing a battery charger" Basicly your reverse plating the parts with a sacrificial piece of metal. It worked very well on the inside of my metal gas tank. Before it would clog the pickup screen in 10min run time.

The thing thats odd is i have ran this generator with the same load (my house) for 22hrs just last year with no drop in oil. Im going to load it in the next few days.

I have started a ran a 803 at 5* with 270cca batterys in NY. The case is big on these generstors but there just 10/20hp engines. Most larger lawnmowers are 25hp now. I believe they sell 310cca lawnmower batterys now too.

You can remove rust with a old school battery charger and pool PH plus. I have done it to resurect a $50 generator with a badly rusted metal fuel tank. No doubt that at one point your tank has had moisture or water in the tank. If you havnt i would change the fuel filters and clean the pump...

Dont worry. They offer other rebates almost every year. Hd and TSC usualy will be on the list by the end of the year. I use rotella t6 in everything so my stock is getting low. I got 6-7 gal last year.

Checked the oil again after a day of sitting. Still at the half mark. When these things wet stack do they pull oil from the crank case? I have ran this unit for longer with no oil loss. Nothing is leaking becids that return line that i fixed.

Wouldnt a trailered unit be mobile and not have to meet these requirements? Also a pad 4in thick (prety much concrete minimum) and 8in wider shouldnt be a huge task.

You need a temp gun to really see whats going on here. 215* is a bit hot to me. 190-200 would be better. A temp gun is roughly $20 at harbor freight.

Why not just use a electrical junction box? Way easier to find and prob in the end cheaper.

Sucking air means you had a leak between the suction side of the pump and the level of fuel.

I had a surging 802 before. If i remember right there was a plunger that was stuck on the injection pump. You could also try adjusting them as per the TM. Of corse all of this should be after lunricated new fuel is put in and the fuel filters changed.

If i had to replace the filter housing i would be useing a raycor style filter with a clear lower section. Easier to keep an eye of fuel quality.

Unless your useing 230gal in a year i would stay away from HHO tanks. Yes you can just put 50gal in it but will get major condensation if not completly full.
