Hey all, I don't have any HEMTT TMs, so I was wondering, does the HEMTT and the MK-48 LVS use the same cab? Thanks in advance!

My barn has 10 foot doors, it just makes it in... the problem isn't the cab, but the crane for the 1400 tires... height on a standard M923 is significantly lower...

All I can say is BiffJ and I were in the Czech Republic, one of the homes of the OT... they hated them... overly complex, bad plumbing, constant maintenance, and very cramped driving position. The highlight however is the one thing you were going to pull... the Tatra diesel... everything else...

Hey all, So you guys who've bought Mk48 trailers sitting with no FPU, how do you or your shipping companies load these trailers? Is it a ridiculous expense since there is no FPU? Thanks!

Hey all, We may be acquiring some trailers that we'd want to break down into parts, tires and rims, brakes etc. Just hoping to find some a place where we could have the trailers dropped and we could come down and pull the parts off we want, and scrap the rest... Anyone have a place? Anyone...

Whoa! Is there a gunner's platform on the Mk48? Stalwart, I'd LOVE to see some pics of your Mk48 ring mount, its installation, and the roof setup... I may end up having to fab it. Fun stuff!

Awesome... if you can I'd REALLY be interested in the roof assembly too... and how it is put on and works! I'd REALLY appreciate it... I HAVE to find a roof panel for the Mk48 assembly now... and instructions for installation.

Yes, it has three legs, and the very RARE pics I can find on the net of the LVS ring mount, it is the same as the HEMTT. The big difference is the roof hatch assembly... now to find it, or adapt a HEMTT setup.

Believe it or not, I found a ring mount and legs yesterday, and bought it. I will now need the roof panel, or a HEMMT roof panel for adapting to the Mk48. Anyone have either?

Yeah, I was going to bid, but a trailer alone in Barstow coming to Indiana... that seemed like a major hassle and bill... !! LOL! If one shows in Albany, Jacksonville or PA, I'll be all over it... I really don't care for the Mk14 trailer.

Well went out to the field where she was stranded, took a wrench and smacked it a few times, it ended up initializing and I was able to start her... Just what is in that thing that hitting it would make it work? I'm not Fonzy that's for sure!
