please post some pictures of the trucks you are maintaining.
Welcome to the site and the hobby from Michigan. This site is a great resource for anyone interested in owning and maintaining a military vehicle. You might want to explore joining the Ohio Motor Pool. They have a good web site, ohiomotorpool.org. I joined them years ago and while I don’t get...
Welcome to Steel Soldiers from Michigan. I can’t help you with your M813 but you have come to the right place. There is such a wealth of knowledge here you will soon have an answer to your break issue. When you get a chance, post a few pictures of your truck….
This is good advice! Battery chargers aren’t all that expensive these days. Having a good one in the shop is a good thing. Some of them will detect the battery type automatically and adjust the charge accordingly. 7.5 amps will not bring a marginal battery this big back to full charge. I think...
I joined SS in 2009. I’m a transplant from a site callEd Big Electric. It was mostly a site dedicated to the M37. When they closed up shop, I think it was Bill W. That told me about SS. I’m glad he did!
I was in a business that sold software. I can really relate to the issues of staying current...
Welcome to the site and the hobby! The M101 trailer is a good start. They pull real good behind just about anything. I converted one to a camper some years ago. Let me know if I can help you out…

I desplined the front wheels and I think this helps. I don’t like to push this truck over 50. It just cruses so nice at 50…

I got into this...
When we do the convoys they put us in march units based on the size of the vehicle. The 2.5 ton and up unit got the Nic name of the moose. When I went on my first convoy in 2019, my march unit leader, Lamar Rowland, walked up to me and gave the moose head. I said how do guys mount these . He...
Nice find! I love mine. I converted it to a “motor home” I removed all the expansible stuff and sealed the walls. I didn’t want to have something my wife and I couldn’t set up. I bought a donor camper for all the appliances, water system and electrical panel. I’ve had it on two MVPA convoys so...
I’m sorry if I confused the issue. My modification will work on an all 24 volt vehicle. If the vehicle has dual voltages, 12 and 24, then simply measure the out put voltage at the break light switch. If it’s 12 v install the controller like it’s an F150. These dual voltage vehicles confuse me...
