    Hmmwv rear curtain 4 man

I hosed the loose stuff off and it looks pretty good, will look really good with a little scrubbing. It's draped over the canoe drying now. You can have it for whatever it ends up costing to ship. That's the prickly part though; it cannot fold due to the rod at the bottom that's sealed in its...

    Hmmwv rear curtain 4 man

Yes, and it's still gross as I haven't hosed it off yet.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

In the aircraft world it's called seat track.

    Hmmwv rear curtain 4 man

It's pretty gross at the moment, needs to have the spider eggs and grime sprayed off. All four hooks are there, seat belt pockets, straps and d-rings for roll-up all look good. The window is probably 70%. If you want it let me know. $40 should cover the box and shipping, but if it's more...

    Hmmwv rear curtain 4 man

I have one in pretty good condition, at least as good as the one pictured above. If there's still interest I'll take a look at it tonight to assess the actual condition.

OUT AND ABOUT WITH MY HMMWV

Continuation of the previous. Here's the video of the entire parade. The M1165 appears at around the 11:00 minute mark, then I make the second pass around the 59:40 More milsurp around the 1:31:00 time.

OUT AND ABOUT WITH MY HMMWV

Armed Forces Day is a thing. Bremerton WA has one of the longest running celebrations for Armed Forces Day, this year being the 77th. I was scheduled to drive the M1165 and placed in the middle of the pack of 150 participants. Last night the event organizer called me and asked if I would mind...

    New HMMWV owner here

If it's a Yermo truck you always have the option of shipping it the short distance to Retired War Horses and letting Steven do the heavy lifting. I'd be OK driving a runner or non-runner home after RWH gives it the once-over and says it's good.

    Hard vs soft......doors

I want a set of hard doors for the winter, but once it's warm I really like the soft doors instead. Going from doors on to doors off takes a minute or less, add maybe one more minute to roll up the rear curtain and you're riding in style. Let's see a Wrangler owner do it less than 20 minutes.....

Best place to tap 24 volt in engine bay

If you use a 24v relay, you need only run one small wire into the cab; the ground wire for the relay.

    New HMMWV owner here

I did 20 in the USAF as a Flight Engineer on C-141s. In my entire career I drove a HMMWV one time, and got a ticket for it (driving without a HMMWV license, not checking tires before entering a taxiway, and speeding). Thankfully the ticket got thrown out, despite all of it being true. I drove...

    HMMWV Serial Number Lookup Tool

    I take it you're not ISO 9001:2015 certified then.... ;) See Clauses 8.5.1 h and 8.5.5.

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

I forget the brand, but the original owner paid $189 on a'zon for it. I bought it from him for about half. I was hoping to find a Knakk or Jobox but none came available in the size I wanted or the price I was willing to pay. It's not as secure as I would like, but secure enough for...

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

Got the truck box bolted down. Lots of time on the table saw getting the wood blocks cut to fit the bed, and getting the height just where I want it- it sits about even with the ammo cans inside so when the rear curtain is rolled up it doesn't hinder the view out the back. Filled it with the...

    LED replacement no flashing

Confirming those bulbs worked. Everything is now flashing as normal. Thanks!

    Keyed Switch

Perhaps it could, if you used the keyed switch to provide a ground for a relay, and the relay interrupts the load. The relay would have to be pretty heavy duty, so maybe a solenoid instead.

    Keyed Switch

I used a keyed switch that merely interrupts the neutral safety switch. The stock start switch is retained in place, and the keyed switch is mounted on the ledge under the heater switches (key UP configuration), so it's sort of hidden, but mostly to retain the military look. That was not an...

Repurpose Duke CIED Antenna to Ham Radio

The antenna works great, good SWR and good signal reports on VHF and UHF. The supply on these seems to have dried up, I haven't seen one for sale, even at current gouging prices, in quite a while. Good luck building one if you go that route, I have yet to see one that looks right. I don't...

    MEP-802A questions

To clarify: my 802 is lag-bolted to the wood blocks only. There is no positive connection between the blocks and the pad. When I poured the pad I installed four j-bolts to match the four holes in the 802 (not an easy feat). After I discovered the results of having it bolted directly to the...

    MEP-802A questions

I tried bolting mine down and the vibration of the generator was amplified by the slab and vibrating the whole house. Of course my slab was not very thick and only a little bigger than the footprint of the 802. So I moved the generator forward a few inches and used the j-bolts in the concrete...
