    Thanks everyone.. I ended opening up the crankcase and playing around with the pressure relief valve, just making sure it was not stuck..The pressure now seems to be reading around 60 ~ 70 psi, which is ok and within acceptable engineering ranges... I manged to run the set and it is outputting...

    thanks all...Guyfang, yes the FU-1 seems to blow even before I try and start. Actually it looks like it blows when I connect the negative terminal to the battery..am completely stumped now..

    thx....will verify the connections again. Here is a pic of how it is hooked up at the starter end. The red cable -VE goes to the -VE terminal post on the 2nd battery:-?

    k, so i replaced the fuse in FU1 and pulled out CD-1...no sparks or any sound, however I noticed that the new fuse i put in FU1 has blown again..as ever any pointers greatly appreciated. also Guyfang, when you say the negetive terminal has to go to a ground point .. I see a white covered cable...
