    Gen 1

Hey guys. Can the gen 1 generator/ alternator be purchased at auto parts stores or do I have to get it rebuilt? I broke my current alternator on my M1008 and had another that I was told was good but I had to change out the positive terminal because the spare didn't have one. All I know is my...

    Tire pressure

Goodyear Wrangler MT but regardless of what the sidewall says would/should it be different when used on this truck? Thanks

    Tire pressure

Ok. I can't find the recommended pressure on the side wall. I'll just trial and error it for a bit. What do you all think about it being lifted? I mean it looks cool as can be but Ive never been one to modify something that was built by someone a lot smarter than me. Thanks

    Tire pressure

The former owner of my M1008 lifted the truck 4 inches and put 37x 12.50 16.5 tires on it. I believe what comes on a hmmwv. What air pressure should be in these tires when placed on a cucv? Also, what if any, added strain is put on my truck because of these modifications? Thanks.

    M1008 heater

This here job is done. New blower motor, resistor and heater core. I've also taken some preventative steps to keep out mice. Gonna need to duct tape around where the duct work hooks up for max airflow because it doesn't meet up properly but it blows pretty good.

    Brake/marker lights don't work

Does it matter what bulbs I use? Currently I have 1 2057 in one brake light and an 1157 in the other. I've also got a 168 in one marker light and a 194 in the other. 168 and 194s in my instrument cluster too I think. It's all working but what's right?

    Brake/marker lights don't work

I went around freshening up ground connections all over the truck and had the instrument panel out doing other work. I also had some fuses that were not the proper ones for the circuit they were in so I corrected that. Replaced a headlight and light switch. I'm not sure what did it but I've got...

    Cab leaking

It's seems the door seals are leaking too. They look fine. Not dry rotted or nothing but the definitely leak. Is there supposed to be some type of sealant along with the seals or are they just bad? Thanks. Also I took them off because they weren't all the way up against the door frame up in the...

    Brake/marker lights don't work

If you mean checking them with a multimeter, I've done that for resistance and they all show good. Now I do not have the proper fuses in some of the places in the fuse box and some look old. I'm gonna get that right I guess. Ye haw! Gotta love it. It's raining too! But I will win! 👍😁

    Brake/marker lights don't work

Ive been doing some various jobs on my M1008 lately and all of a sudden I noticed my brake lights don't work on either side. No running lights or marker lights on the driver's side rear. Markers and running lights work on the passenger side but not super bright like the reverse lights do. Both...

    M1008 heater

Yep. Even taking the old one with me but I missed the spacing between spouts.

    M1008 heater

So far no luck on a new heater core. The one I decided to buy at O'Reilly's has the closest dimensions until I got it home and tried to put it in. The inlet and outlet are too close together and won't fit through the firewall. The only reason I didn't take the one at Napa is price. I think their...

Will a 2 position 12v toggle switch work for this?
