    M887 on GL Wholy Garsh

Hey none taken!! I'll be the first to admit, i'll throw a few jabs when I can myself. But it seems like there's always one guy who likes to take a cheap shot at another guys preferences. I kinda like my Dodge's (as you can tell), and I tend to be over protective sometimes. My bad...

    M887 on GL Wholy Garsh

mangus580, I've read your statement about Dodge's several times, and I would hope that your trying to be funny. But if not, i've tried to figure out why somebody (especially a staff member) who dosen't like Dodges, would go to a Dodge forum and make a ridiculous statement like "I wouldn't give...

    884 axles

Like already said, all of the M880 series trucks I have seen had d44's up front. But, I do have a 78 3/4 ton Air Force crewcab with a factory (option) d60 front.

    M882 Frontend noise

McGuyver, I've greased everything. I've taken the front driveline out and drove it. I've taken the rear driveline out and drove it. I've even swapped in a different front axle. Still does the same thing. It's gotta be the t-case........

    M882 Frontend noise

One of my trucks is a 77 M882. I've had it for a year and it's an awsome truck. But, ever since i've had it it's always had a noticeable growling noise from transfercase forward. It's hard to tell but sounds like it's coming from the frontend, maybe left side. The noise only happens from 40 to...

    I'm Back! (new pics)

That paint being PPG is very interesting. Sure does save on some HAZ-MAT charges. A friend of mine just bought 6 new Humvee tires at a Gov't sale and was thinking about putting them on his M880. He's wanting some wide wheels though, 9.75's or 10's. By the way your truck looks great, keep up the...

    I'm Back! (new pics)

McGuyver, The green paint that is on your truck in the pictures. Is that the PPG green or the Gillespie green?? Also when you had the Humvee tires on your truck, were they on the original military type 16.5 wheels. Or did you have them put on some wider ones?? Thanks....

    M880 variations

Guys I lost my paper that I had printed out on the M880 series variations. Somebody had given me a link to a site with that info, and I can't remember what site it was. If I could get that link again I would appreciate it. Larry.......

    electric trouble

Nick, Check the wire connections on the back of the alternator gauge. The alt gauges are notorius for melting down and jumping around if the connections aren't tight. But it sounds like a ground problem. If you have a volt meter, take some readings at the battery and at the back of the alt...

    electric trouble

The light flickering might be the alternator or the voltage regulator. If the voltage regulator isn't getting a good ground it does some wacky things. Have you taken it to the local auto parts store and had them check it while it's running? Might find something out. As far as the "clicking"...

    Camo colors

What is the name of the green that was used in the camo paint scheme on the M880 series trucks? It's not an OD green, it's a much brighter green. Anybody know?????

    Military Winches

For those interested. I have aquired a few Military PTO winches. They came off of some tracked personel carriers and are about the same size as the ones on a 2 1/2 ton. I will get some technical info on them as soon as I have the time to really look them over......Larry [thumbzup]

    Metal clips inside bed.

I've been meaning to ask this for a long time. What were the metal clips used for on the left inside of the bed. Their only on the left side, and there's 4 or 5 of them. My truck is a M882. :hop:
