I just changed my transmission fluid and the leak is dripping very clean, red fluid. To me that means it'd be the transmission seal and not the torque converter. Is that a fair assumption? How big of a deal is this? Could I just accept a fluid leak and continue driving it without doing...

As a new m998 owner and someone getting into off roading, I don't see anything that he is doing wrong. Clearly just a highlight of my inexperience. Was it just that he was using oversized tires? Can someone please give me some insight so that I don't make the same mistake?

Thanks for the help guys! It's not a turbo. I'm still trying to figure out how to tell if it is a 6.5L or not. As a self taugh mechanic (aka, this is the first car I've ever worked on) im still trying to find the bolts described in the article, but I'll figure it out eventually.

I'm installing the new fuel sensor and throwing out the old one. Since the two plugs on the top of the fuel sensor are the same size, does it matter which end I plug them into when I connect the sensor to the truck?

How can I visually see the difference between a 6.2L, 6.5L, and 6.5L turbo engine? My m998 was marketed as a 6.5L turbo but has a 3 speed transmission still. I'd just like to confirm that they sold me the right truck.

I'm changing the filter on my 3 speed transmission. It has the 13 bolts around the edge and I am able to completely disconnect and drop the pan, but not remove it. I'm restoring an HMMWV and the CARC paint is old but appears in good condition. Can I paint the whole truck over in truckbed liner without worrying about sanding off the CARC? Would a good wash be good enough prior?
