Newbie doing his research has questions

In the warm months 100% works for me. Not saying it works for other people. I have something like 14 trucks running, and working. When I say working I mean between 9-15 ton per load I don't know how many loads a day, day after day, week after week...you get the picture. Never had a problem...

So you want a cheap GL Deuce....

For the price and being 7 miles away......you still did alright. I'd do the same in a heartbeat.

    Oil filter adapter kit.

I check my PMs almost everyday. I just don't say much anymore.

    Oil filter adapter kit.

Oh I still make and sell them. I even started putting out a spin on fuel filter kit for the MEP 002a/003a generators. I just don't advertise to much. When I do I get overrun with orders. As it is I still make 10-15 kits a week between the oil kits and fuel kits.

Ok what the heck did I break

You don't have to unhook the hose each time to bleed it. That was just a way to verify you had good fuel through the system.

Ok what the heck did I break

A fairly quick and easy way to check your fuel status is the following. On the filter housing. The fuel line that is returning from in front of the IP head...this is line#3 on installation. Turn the collar off the fitting so that you can pull the line out. Now turn on your master switch...

Westfolk's Steel Oil Spin On Adapters

Guys who put the fittings in backwards all have the same problem. That's why they should be put in correctly, per instructions. The engine side is 1"-14 thread. The filter side 1"-12 thread. As you can see the threads are close to each other, but not the same. You can put them in...

Looking for a military 20' container trailer

Not a "drop frame". That's a standard 40' can chassis. You can tell by the height of the frame and size of the trailer wheels/tires. That few inches of the neck that drop down to the rest of the frame sits in the recess of the can. A drop neck can chassis would have at least 14" of drop...

Looking for a military 20' container trailer

You could go with................a drop neck can chassis with a 9" can. OR, buy a standard 20' can which is 8'6" high. You could then put it on anything.....PLS trailer(like some of us have) a 20' can chassis, modify an M295(which I have seen the military do themselves), or any everyday flat...

    Spin on filter options

My mass produced design used a 13/16" thread for the filter. You had choices that worked for filters, but only a few. The 7/8" thread let's you use only one filter...the 1458. When I was approached to make several hundred kits for a company they wanted to know if I could make a change. That...

    Oil canister thread?

Engine side is 1"-14 standard SAE Yes, in the case of my adapters the filter is 1"-12 thread. Which has the largest diameter hole on a fitting for the best flowrate for oil on a spin-on kit. :grd:

    Fuel sticker violation in NC

It was the president Judge of the county, Mckean county. Yes, I did have counsel. Though you'd never know it. He ended up talking to a brick wall just as I did at the JP level. I'll have to find the docket number. As I say I was found gulty with a fine of $34.50 imposed. The Judge did agree that...

    Fuel sticker violation in NC

Right. It is that "such as" that was the problem. It was discussed if the words "for example" were there instead. Ended the same. This is due to no definition for the term "recreational vehicle" in the code. My whole deal ended with the Judge saying he agreed to the point I'd made, however...

    Fuel sticker violation in NC

I failed to mention. In PA.........a motor carrier is anyone operating a "qualified vehicle". So if you are driving something with 3 axles or more(which is a "qualified vehicle") then you are a motor carrier. Again, it is ALL in how they word it.

    Fuel sticker violation in NC

Older thread. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/politics-related-mv-hobby/56681-resolved-10-6-10-pa-mv-owners-aware-new-tactics.html It is all in the wording of the law. As of today's date there is NO EXCEMPTIONS in PA for a vehicle with 3 or more axles. Having antique, classic, etc. plates...

    Deuce Injector Return lines

I had thought about doing the same thing to go along with my secondary fuel kit. It's the price of those fittings that kill the whole idea. So I just went with the 3 main lines relative to the filter housing. I re-use the 3 fittings on the IP side. Only because if I added just those 3...
